Then, do not say, O human: How do we reconcile between His saying, the Exalted: 'Their hands have become tight', and the reality today regarding the Jews?! Because these people exert themselves to gain more.

And they were cursed for what they said; that is: they were expelled and distanced from the mercy of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; because the calamity is entrusted to the statement; when they described Allah with tight-fistedness; they were expelled and distanced from His mercy; it was said to them: If Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, is as you said does not spend; let Him withhold you from His mercy until He does not give you from His generosity; so they were punished with two matters: 1 - by transferring the description they criticized Allah with, to them by saying: 'Their hands have become tight.'

2 - And by obliging them, according to the implication of their saying; by distancing them from the mercy of Allah, until they do not find the generosity of Allah and His grace and favor.

And for what they said: the preposition 'ب' here is for causation; and the mark of 'ب' that is for causation: is that it is followed by the word (cause).

And (ما) here is valid to be the source, and it is valid that it be connected; if it was connected; then the return is omitted, and its estimate is by that which they said; and if it was a source; then the action transfers to the source; that is: with their saying.
