حِينَwhenظَاهَرَappearedمِنْهَاfrom her
When he appears from her.
وَالظَّهَارُand the declarationأَنْthatيَقُولَa man saysالرَّجُلُthe manلِزَوْجَتِهِto his wifeأَنْتِyou areعَلَيَّto meكَظَهْرِlike the backأُمِّيof my mother
And the declaration is that a man says to his wife: 'You are to me like the back of my mother.'
أَوْorكَلِمَةًa wordنَحْوَهَاsimilar to it
Or a word similar to it.
وَكَانَAnd it wasالظَّهَارُthe declarationفِيinالْجَاهِلِيَّةِthe time of ignoranceطَلَاقًاa divorceبَائِنًاirrevocable,,فَجَاءَتْThen she cameتَشْتَكِيcomplainingإِلَىtoرَسُولِthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahﷺ(peace be upon him),,وَتَبَيَّنَتْand clarifyلَهُto himكَيْفَhowيُطَلِّقُهَاhe divorces herهَذَاthisالرَّجُلُmanذَاكَthatالطَّلاقُdivorceالْبَائِنُirrevocableوَهِيَand she isأُمُّthe motherأَوْلَادِهِof his children
And the declaration in the time of ignorance was an irrevocable divorce, then she came complaining to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and clarified to him how this man divorces her with that irrevocable divorce while she is the mother of his children.
وَكَانَتْAnd she wasتُحَاوِرُdiscussingالنَّبِيَّthe Prophetﷺ(peace be upon him)؛;أَيَّthat isتُرَاجِعُهُshe reviews himالْكَلَامَthe speech
And she was discussing with the Prophet, peace be upon him; that is, she was reviewing his words.
فَأَفْتَاهَاSo Allah decreed for herاللَّهُAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّ, the Almighty and Majesticبِمَاwith whatأَفْتَاهَاHe decreed for herبِهِthereinفِيinالْآيَاتِthe versesالْمَذْكُورَةِmentioned
So Allah decreed for her what He decreed in the mentioned verses.
وَالشَّاهِدُAnd the proofمِنْfromهَذِهِtheseالْآيَاتِversesقَوْلُهُis His saying::﴿﴾قَدْIndeedسَمِعَHe has heardاللَّهُAllahقَوْلَthe saying ofالَّتِيof the one whoتُحَاجُّكَis arguing with you؛;فَفِيSo in thisهَذَاthisإِثْبَاتٌproofالسَّمْعِof hearingلِلَّهِfor Allahسُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىthe Glorified and Exalted،,وَأَنَّهُand that Heيَسْمَعُhearsالْأَصْوَاتَthe voicesمَهْمَاno matter howبَعُدَتْthey are distantوَمَهْمَاand no matter howخَفِيَتْthey are hidden
And the proof from these verses is His saying: 'Indeed, Allah has heard the saying of the one who is arguing with you.' So in this, there is a proof of hearing for Allah, the Glorified and Exalted, and that He hears the voices no matter how distant they are and no matter how hidden they are.
قَالَتْAisha saidعَائِشَةُAishaرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَاmay Allah be pleased with her::تَبَارَكَBlessed is(أَوْ(orقَالَتْshe said::الْحَمْدُThe praiseلِلَّهِbe to Allah))الَّذِيwhoوَسِعَhas encompassedسَمْعَهُHis hearingالْأَصْوَاتَthe sounds،,إِنِّيIndeed Iلَفِيam inنَاحِيَةِa sideالْبَيْتِof the house،,وَإِنِّيand indeed Iلَا تَخْفَىdo not hearعَلَيَّon meبَعْضَsomeحَدِيثِهَاof her speech
Aisha said: 'Blessed is (or she said: Praise be to) Allah who has encompassed His hearing for the voices, indeed I am in a side of the house, and indeed I do not hear some of her speech.' This is the meaning of her report.
هَذَاThisمَعْنَىis the meaningحَدِيثِهَاof her report

وَالسَّمْعُAnd hearingالْمُضَافُattributedإِلَىtoاللَّهِAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّ, the Almighty and Majesticيَنْقَسِمُis dividedإِلَىintoقِسْمَيْنِtwo types::۱1--سَمْعٌHearingيَتَعَلَّقُrelatedبِالْمَسْمُوعَاتِto the heard؛;فَيَكُونُand it isمَعْنَاهُits meaningإِدْرَاكَperceptionالصَّوْتِthe sound
And hearing attributed to Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, is divided into two types: 1- Hearing related to the heard; its meaning is the perception of sound.
۲2ـ-وَسَمْعٌAnd hearingبِمَعْنَىin the sense ofالِاستِجَابَةِresponse؛;فَيَكُونُand it isمَعْنَاهُits meaningأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahيُجِيبُanswersمَنْwhoيَدْعُوهُcalls Him؛;لَأَنَّbecauseالدُّعَاءَthe supplicationصَوْتٌis a voiceيَنْطَلِقُthat emanatesمِنْfromالدَّاعِيthe supplicant,,وَسَمِعَand Allah hearsاللَّهُAllahدُعَاءَهُhis supplication؛;يَعْنِيmeaning::اسْتَجَابَتْansweredدُعَاءَهُhis supplication,,وَلَيْسَand it is notمَاwhat is meantمَجَرَّدَjustسَمَاعٍhearing
2- And hearing in the meaning of response; its meaning is that Allah answers who calls Him; because supplication is a voice that emanates from the supplicant, and Allah hears his supplication; meaning: He answered his supplication, and it is not what is meant by merely hearing it.
