وَفِيAnd inالْآيَةِthe verseالثَّانِيَةِthe secondإِثْبَاتٍproofأَنْthatالشَّيْطَانَthe devilيُقِرُّacknowledgesبِصِفَاتِwith the attributesاللَّهِof Allah!

And in the second verse, there is proof that the devil acknowledges the attributes of Allah!

فَكَيْفَSo howنَجِدُdo we findمِنْamongبَنِيthe sons ofآدَمَAdamمَنْwhoيُنْكِرُdeniesصِفَاتِattributesاللَّهِof Allahأَوْorبَعْضِهَاsome of them,

So how do we find among the sons of Adam those who deny the attributes of Allah or some of them?

أَيَكُونُCould it beالشَّيْطَانُthe devilأَعْلَمُmore knowledgeableبِاللَّهِabout Allahوَأَعْقَلُand more rationalمَسْلَكًاin approachمِنْthanهَـَؤُلَاءِtheseالنُّفَاةُdeniers؟

Could it be that the devil is more knowledgeable about Allah and more rational in approach than these deniers?!

مَاWhatنَسْتَفِيدُwe benefitمِنْfromالنَّاحِيَةِthe aspectالْمَسْلَكِيَّةِof conduct

What do we benefit from the aspect of conduct?

فِيInالْعَفْوِforgivenessوَالصَّفْحِand pardonهُوَisأَنَّنَاthat weإِذَاifعَلِمْنَاwe knowأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahعَفُوٌّis Most Forgiving,وَأَنَّand thatهُوَHeقَدِيرٌis Able؛أَوْجَبَIt necessitatesلَنَاfor usأَنْtoنَسْأَلَهُask Himالْعَفْوَforgivenessدَائِمًاalways,وَأَنَّand thatنَرْجُوwe hopeمِنْهُfrom Himالْعَفْوَforgivenessعَمَّfor whatحَصَلَhas occurredمِنَّاfrom usمِنْofالتَّقْصِيرِshortcomingsفِيinالْوَاجِبِthe duty

In forgiveness and pardon, it is that if we know that Allah is Most Forgiving and Able; it necessitates for us to ask Him for forgiveness always, and to hope from Him for forgiveness for what has occurred from us in shortcomings in duty.

أَمَّاAs forالْعِزَّةِthe mightأَيْضًاalsoنَقُولُwe say:إِذَاifعَلِمْنَاwe knowأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahعَزِيزٌis Mighty؛فَإِنَّنَاthen weلَاcannotيُمكنُcanأَنْtoنَفْعَلَdoفِعْلًاan actنُحَارِبَthat we fightاللَّهَAllahفِيهِin it.

As for the might, we also say: If we know that Allah is Mighty; then we cannot do an act that we fight Allah in it.

مَثَلًاFor example

For example:

الإِنْسَانُthe personالْمُرَابِيthe usurerمُعَامَلَتُهُhis dealingاللَّهَwith Allahالْمُحَارَبَةُis enmity;

The usurer's dealing with Allah is enmity;

﴿[فَإِنَّThen ifلَّمْyou do notتَفْعَلُواdoفَأَذِنُواthen announceبِحَرْبٍa warمِنَfromاللَّهِAllahوَرَسُولِهِand His Messenger][البقرة[Al-Baqarah:٢٧٩279]

Then if you do not do [it], then announce a war from Allah and His Messenger [Al-Baqarah: 279].

إِذَاIfعَلِمْنَاwe knowأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahذُوis the Possessor ofعِزَّةٍmightلَاnotيُغْلَبُovercome,فَإِنَّهُthen it isلَاcannotيُمْكِنُنَاwe canأَنْtoنُقَدِّمَadvanceعَلَىagainstمُحَارَبَةٍfighting

If we know that Allah is the Possessor of might who cannot be overcome, then we cannot advance against fighting Allah.

قَطْعُCuttingالطَّرِيقِoff the roadمُحَارَبَةٌis fighting:﴿[إِنَّمَاIndeed,جَزَاؤُاthe recompenseالَّذِينَof those whoيُحَارِبُونَfightاللَّهَAllahوَرَسُولَهُand His Messengerوَيَسْعَوْنَand striveفِيinالْأَرْضِthe Earthفَسَادًاto cause corruptionأَنْthatيُقَتَّلُواthey be killedأَوْorيُصَلَّبُواbe crucifiedأَوْorتُقَطَّعَtheir hands be cutأَيْدِيهِمْoffوَأَرْجُلُهُمْand their feetمِّنْfromخِلَافٍoppositeأَوْorيُنْفَوْاthey be exiledمِنَfromالْأَرْضِthe Earth][المائدة:[Al-Ma'idah:٣٣33]

Cutting off the road is fighting: [Indeed, the recompense of those who fight Allah and His Messenger and strive to cause corruption in the Earth is that they be killed or be crucified or their hands and feet be cut off opposite or they be exiled from the Earth] [Al-Ma'idah: 33].

؛فَإِذَاSo, ifعَلِمْنَاwe knowأَنْthatقَطْعَcutting offالطَّرِيقِthe roadمُحَارَبَةٌis fightingاللَّهَAllahوَأَنْand thatالْعِزَّةَmightلِلَّهِis for Allah؛امْتَنَعْنَاwe refrainedمِنَfromالْعَمَلِacting;لِأَنَّbecauseاللَّهَAllahهُوَisالْغَالِبُthe One who prevails.

So if we know that cutting off the road is fighting Allah and that the might is for Allah; we refrain from acting because Allah is the One who prevails.

وَيُمْكِنُAnd it canأَنْthatنَقُولَwe can sayفِيinهَاitفَائِدَةٌa benefitمِنْfromالنَّاحِيَةِthe aspectالْمَسْلَكِيَّةِof conduct;

And it can be said that there is a benefit in it from the aspect of conduct;
