ٱللَّهُGodٱللَّهُGod
God, God! How then can we reconcile this with the saying: 'until the Day of Judgment'?!
وَٱلْجَوَابُAnd the answerأَنَّis thatيُقَالُ:it is said:
And the answer is that it is said: it refers to the near approach of the Day of Judgment;
لِقَوْلِهِfor his sayingفِيinٱلْحَدِيثِ:the hadith:حَتَّىuntilيَأْتِيَcomesأَمْرُthe commandٱللَّهِof Godأَوْorإِلَىtoقِيَامِestablishmentٱلسَّاعَةِ؛of the Hour;أَيِ:that is:سَاعَتِهِمْ،their Hour,وَهُوَand it isمَوْتُهُمْ؛their death;لِأَنَّbecauseمَنْwhoeverمَاتَdiesفَقَدْhas indeedقَامَتْestablishedقِيَامَتُهُ،his resurrection,لَكِنَّbutٱلْأَوَّلُthe firstأَقْرَبُ؛is closer;فَهُمْthey areمَنْصُورُونَvictoriousإِلَىtoقُرْبِthe near approachقِيَامِof the establishmentٱلسَّاعَةِ،of the Hour,وَإِنَّمَاand we onlyلَجَأْنَاwe resortedإِلَىtoهَـٰذَاthisٱلتَّأْوِيلِinterpretationلِدَلِيلٍ،for a proof,وَٱلتَّأْوِيلُand the interpretationبِدَلِيلٍwith a proofجَازَ؛is permissible;لِأَنَّbecauseٱلْكُلَّallمِنْis fromعِندَwithٱللَّهِ.God.
The answer is that it is said: it refers to the near approach of the Day of Judgment; for his saying in the hadith: until the command of God comes (or it refers to their hour, which is their death; because whoever dies has established his resurrection, but the first is closer; they are victorious until the near establishment of the Hour, and we only resorted to this interpretation for proof, and the interpretation with proof is permissible; because all is from God.
أَهْلُPeopleٱلسُّنَّةِof the Sunnahوَٱلْجَمَاعَةِand the Community;أَضَافَهُمْHe added themإِلَىtoٱلسُّنَّةِ؛the Sunnah;لِأَنَّهُمْbecause they areمُتَمَسِّكُونَadheringبِهَاto itوَٱلْجَمَاعَةِ؛and the Community;لِأَنَّهُمْbecause they areمُجْتَمِعُونَunitedعَلَيْهَا.upon it.
The people of the Sunnah and the Community are added to the Sunnah; because they are adhering to it, and the Community; because they are united upon it.
فَإِنْIf you say:قُلْتَ:you said:كَيْفَHowيَقُولُ:can he say:«أَهْلُ'Peopleٱلسُّنَّةِof the Sunnah'وَٱلْجَمَاعَةِ»؛and of the Community'?!لِأَنَّهُمْbecause they areجَمَاعَةٌ؛a Community;فَكَيْفَso howيُضافُ الشَّيْءُcan something be addedإِلَىtoنَفْسِهِ؟itself?!
If you say: How can he say: 'People of the Sunnah and the Community'?! Because they are a Community; so how can something be added to itself?!
فَٱلْجَوَابُ:The answer is:أَنَّthatٱلْأَصْلُthe original meaningأَنَّis thatكَلِمَةَthe wordٱلْجَمَاعَةِCommunityبِمَعْنَىmeansٱلْاجْتِمَاعِ؛gathering;فَهِيَtherefore it isٱسْمٌa nounمَصْدَرٌ،from a source,هَـٰذَاthisفِيinٱلْأَصْلِ،the origin,ثُمَّthenنُقِلَتْit was transferredمِنْfromهَـٰذَاthisٱلْأَصْلِoriginإِلَىtoٱلْقَوْمِthe peopleٱلْمُجْتَمِعِينَ،who are gathered,وَعَلَيْهِ؛and accordingly;فَيَكُونُit can meanمَعْنَىthe meaning ofأَهْلُthe Peopleٱلسُّنَّةِof the Sunnahوَٱلْجَمَاعَةِ؛and of the Community;أَيِ:that is:أَهْلُthe Peopleٱلسُّنَّةِof the Sunnah;لِأَنَّهُمْbecause they areمُتَمَسِّكُونَadheringبِهَا،to it,وَسُمِّيَتْand they are calledأَهْلُPeopleٱلْجَمَاعَةِ؛of the Community;لِأَنَّهُمْbecause they areمُجْتَمِعُونَunitedعَلَيْهَا.upon it.
The answer is that the original meaning is that the word Community means gathering; therefore it is a noun from a source, this in the origin; and then it was transferred from this origin to the people who are gathered; accordingly; the meaning of the People of the Sunnah and the Community can be: the People of the Sunnah; because they are adhering to it, and they are called the People of the Community; because they are united upon it.
وَلِهَذَاAnd for this reasonلَمْdid notتَفْتَرِقْsplitهَـٰذِهِthisٱلْفِرْقَةُgroupكَمَاasاِفْتَرَقَsplit apartأَهْلُthe peopleٱلْبِدَعِ؛of innovation;نَجِدُwe findأَهْلُthe peopleٱلْبِدَعِ؛of innovation;كَٱلْجَهْمِيَّةِlike the Jahmiyyahمُتَفَرِّقِينَdispersedوَٱلْمُعْتَزِلَةُand the Mu'tazilahمُتَفَرِّقُونَ،are dispersed,وَٱلرَّوَافِضُand the Rawaafidh(١)(1)رَوَاهُNarrated byمُسْلِمٌMuslim(١٤٨)(148)عَنْfromأَنَسٍAnasرَضِيَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُ.may Allah be pleased with him.(٢)(2)رَوَاهُNarrated byٱلْبُخَارِيُّal-Bukhari((٧٣١٢)،(7312),وَمُسْلِمٌand Muslim(۱۹۲۰).(1920).٥٢52
And for this reason, this group did not split apart as the people of innovation; we find the people of innovation like the Jahmiyyah are dispersed, and the Mu'tazilah are dispersed, and the Rawaafidh (1) narrated by Muslim (148) from Anas, may Allah be pleased with him. (2) narrated by al-Bukhari (7312) and Muslim (1920).
