وَمِنَAnd fromهَـٰؤُلَـاءِtheseمَنْwhoيَغْتَرُّis deceivedبِمَسْـَٔلَةِby the issue ofالإِرْجَاءِ postponement،,وَأَنَّand thatالإِيمَانَfaithهُوَisمُجَرَّدُmereالتَّصْدِيقِbeliefوَandالْأَعْمَالَactionsلَيْسَتْare notمِنَofالإِيمَانِfaithوَإِيمَانٌand the beliefأَفْسَقَmost sinfulالنَّاسِof peopleكَإِيمَانِis like the faithجِبْرِيلَof Gabrielوَمِيكَائِيلَand Michael.
And among these are those who are deceived by the issue of postponement, believing that faith is merely acknowledgment and that actions are not part of faith, including the faith of the most sinful of people like the faith of Gabriel and Michael.
وَمِنَAnd fromهَـٰؤُلَـاءِtheseمَنْwhoيَغْتَرُّis deceivedبِمَحَبَّةِby the love ofالْفُقَرَاءِthe poorوَالْمَشَايِخِand the scholarsوَالصَّالِحِينَand the righteous،,وَكَثْرَةَand the frequentالتَّرَدُّدِvisitsإِلَىtoقُبُورِهِمْtheir gravesوَالتَّضَرُّعِand supplicationإِلَيْهِمْto themوَالاِسْتِشْفَاعَand seeking intercessionبِهِمْthrough them،,وَالتَّوَسُّلَand seeking meansإِلَىtoاللَّهِGodبِهِمْby them،,وَسُؤَالَهُand asking Himبِحَقِّهِمْby their rightعَلَيْهِover Himوَحُرْمَتِهِمْand their sanctityعِندَهُwith Him.
And among these are those who are deceived by the love of the poor, the scholars, and the righteous, frequently visiting their graves, supplicating to them, seeking intercession through them, and seeking means to God by them, asking Him by their right over Him and their sanctity with Him.
وَمِنْهُمْAnd among themمَنْare those whoيَغْتَرُّare deceivedبِآبَائِهِمْby their fathersوَأَسْلاَفِهِمْand ancestors،,وَأَنَّand thatلَهُمْthey haveعِندَwithاللَّهِGodمَكَانَةًa statusوَصَلاَحًاand righteousness;فَلاَso they do notيَدْعُونَcallأَنْtoيُخَلِّصُوهُsave him;؛;كَمَاasيُشَاهِدُwitnessedفِيinحَضْرَةِthe presence ofالْمُلُوكِthe kings،,فَإِنَّfor the kingsالْمُلُوكَthe kingsتَهَبُgrantلِخَوَاصِّهِمْto their specialذُنُوبَsinsأَبْنَائِهِمْof their childrenوَأَقَارِبِهِمْand relatives،,وَإِذَاand ifوَقَعَone of them fallsأَحَدٌanyoneمِنْهُمْof themفِيinأَمْرٍa matterمَفْظِعٍterribleخَلَّصَهُhis father saves himأَبُوهُhis fatherوَجَدُّهُand grandfatherبِجَاهِهِby his statusوَمَنْزِلَتِهِand position.
And among them are those who are deceived by their fathers and ancestors, believing that they have a status and righteousness with God; so they do not call for deliverance, as witnessed in the presence of kings, for the kings grant to their special ones the sins of their children and relatives. If one of them falls into a terrible matter, his father and grandfather save him by their status and position.
وَمِنْهُمْAnd among themمَنْare those whoيَغْتَرُّare deceivedبِأَنَّby the fact thatاللَّهَGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almightyغَنِيٌّis richعَنْfromعَذَابِهِHis punishment،,وَأَنَّand thatعَذَابَهُHis punishmentلَاdoes notيَزِيدُincreaseفِيinمُلْكِهِHis dominionشَيْئًاanything;وَرَحْمَتَهُand His mercyلَهُfor Himلَاdoes notيَنْقُصُdiminishمِنْfromمُلْكِهُHis dominionشَيْئًاanything;؛;فَيَقُولُhe says:أَنَاI amمُضْطَرٌّin needإِلَىofرَحْمَتِهHis mercyوَهُوَand He isأَغْنَىthe richestالأَغْنِيَاءِof the rich.؛;وَلَوْAnd ifأَنْthatفَقِيرًاa poorمِسْكِينًاmiserable,مُضْطَرًّاin needإِلَىofشَرْبَةٍa sipمَاءٍof water,عِندَwithمَنْwhoفِيis inدَارِهِhis houseشَطٍّriverيَجْرِيit flows,مُنِعَhe is preventedمِنْهَاfrom it;فَاللَّهُthen Godأَكْرَمُis more generousوَأَوْسَعُand more expansive,فَالْمَغْفِرَةُforgivenessلَاdoes notتَنْقُصُهُdiminish Himشَيْئًاanything,وَالْعُقُوبَةُand punishmentلَاdoes notتَزِيدُincrease HimفِيinمُلْكِهِHis dominionشَيْئًاanything.
And among them are those who are deceived by the fact that God, the Almighty, is rich from His punishment, and that His punishment does not increase anything in His dominion, nor does His mercy diminish anything from His dominion; he says: 'I am in need of His mercy and He is the richest of the rich.' And if a poor miserable person, in need of a sip of water, is with someone in his house by a flowing river, and he is prevented from it; then God is more generous and expansive, for forgiveness does not diminish Him anything, and punishment does not increase Him in His dominion anything.
