وَصَاحِبُAnd the ownerالْقَرْنِof the hornقدhasالتَقَمَswallowedالْقَرْنَthe horn,,وَحَنَىand he bowedجَبْهَتَهُhis foreheadيَسْمَعُlisteningمَتَىwhenيُؤْمَرُhe commanded,,فَيَنْفُخُthen he will blow
And the owner of the horn has swallowed the horn, and he bowed his forehead listening for when he will be commanded, then he will blow.
فَقَالَSo he saidأَصْحَابُهُhis companions::كَيْفَHowنَقُولُshall we say?قَالَ:«قُولُوا"SayحَسْبُنَاSufficient for usاللَّهُis Allahوَنِعْمَand how goodالْوَكِيلُis the Trustee،,عَلَىUponاللَّهِAllahتَوَكَّلْنَاwe have relied".
So his companions said: "How shall we say?" He said: "Say, 'Sufficient for us is Allah and how good is the Trustee, upon Allah we have relied.'"
وَفِيAnd inالْمُسْنَدِthe Musnadأَيْضًاalso(۱)(1)عَنْfromابْنِIbnعُمَرَUmarيَرْفَعُهُnarrating it up::«مَنْ"Whoeverتَعَظَّمَbe arrogantفِيinنَفْسِهِhimself,,أَوْorاخْتَالَis haughtyفِيinمَشْيَتِهِhis walkلَقِيَwill meetاللَّهَAllahتَبَارَكَBlessedوَتَعَالَىand Exalted is He,,وَهُوَand He isعَلَيْهِupon himغَضْبَانَangry.(١٢٦٧٠)(12670)
And in the Musnad also (1) from Ibn Umar narrating it up: "Whoever is arrogant in himself, or is haughty in his walk, will meet Allah Blessed and Exalted, and He will be angry with him."
وَغَيْرَهَاAnd othersمِنْfromطَرِيقِthe routeجَمَاعَةٍa groupعَنْfromعَطِيَّةَAtiyyahالْعَوْفِيِّal-AwfiعَنْfromابْنِIbnعَبَّاسٍAbbasمَرْفُوعًاelevatedفَذَكَرَهُso he mentioned it.
And others from the route of a group from Atiyyah al-Awfi from Ibn Abbas elevated, so he mentioned it.
وَرَوَاهُAnd it was narratedخَالِدٌby Khalidالْخَفَّافُthe lighterعَنْfromعَطِيَّةَAtiyyahالْعَوْفِيِّal-AwfiعَنْfromزَيْدٍZaydبِنْbinأَرْقَمَUqbahفَذَكَرَهُso he mentioned it.
And it was narrated by Khalid the lighter from Atiyyah al-Awfi from Zayd bin Uqbah, so he mentioned it.
أَخْرَجَهُIt was issuedأَحْمَدُby Ahmad,,(١٩٣٤۵)(19345)وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّand al-Tabarani(۵۰۷۲)(5072)وَابْنُand IbnعَدِيٌّAdiفِيinالْكَامِلِthe complete(۱۹۳)(193)وَرَوَاهُand was narratedابْنُby IbnعُيَيْنَةَUyaynaعَنْfromمَطَرٍMaturidعَنْfromعَطِيَّةَAtiyyahعَنْfromأَبِيAbuسَعِيدٍSa'idمَرْفُوعًاelevatedفَذَكَرَهُso he mentioned it.
It was issued by Ahmad (19345) and al-Tabarani (5072) and Ibn Adi in the complete (193) and was narrated by Ibn Uyayna from Maturid from Atiyyah from Abu Sa'id elevated, so he mentioned it.
أَخْرَجَهُIt was issuedأَحْمَدُby Ahmad,,(۱۱۰۳۹)(11039)وَالتُّرْمُذِيُّand al-Tirmidhi(٣٢٤٣)(3243)وَغَيْرُهُمْand others.
It was issued by Ahmad (11039) and al-Tirmidhi (3243) and others.
وَرَوَاهُAnd narratedجَرِيرٌJarirبِنْbinعَبْدِالْحَمِيدِAbdul Hamidوَإِسْمَاعِيلُand Isma'ilبِنْbinإِبْرَاهِيمَIbrahimأَبُوAbuيَحْيَىYahyaالتَّيْمِيُّal-Taymiعَنْfromالْأَعْمَشِal-AmashعَنْfromأَبِيAbuصَالِحٍSalihعَنْfromأَبِيAbuسَعِيدٍSa'idفَذَكَرَهُso he mentioned it.
And narrated by Jarir bin Abdul Hamid and Isma'il bin Ibrahim Abu Yahya al-Taymi from al-Amash from Abu Salih from Abu Sa'id, so he mentioned it.
أَخْرَجَهُIt was issuedابْنُby IbnحِبَّانَHubban(۸۲۳)(823)وَأَبُوand AbuيَعْلَىYa'la(١٠٨٤)(1084)وَالْحَاكِمُand al-Hakim٦۰٣/٤603/4--٦۰٤604(٨۶۷٨)(8678)وَغَيْرُهُمْand others.
It was issued by Ibn Hubban (823) and Abu Ya'la (1084) and al-Hakim 603/4 - 604 (8678) and others.
قَالَHe saidالذَّهَبِيُّal-Dhahabi:: "ابْنُIbnيَحْيَىYahiضَعِيفٌis weak."
Al-Dhahabi said: "Ibn Yahi is weak.
قُلْتُI said:: وَقَدْAnd it hasخُلِفَbeen opposedجَرِيرٌby Jarirفَرَوَاهُand it was narratedالثَّوْرِيُّby Al-Thawriعَنْfromالْأَعْمَشِal-AmashعَنْfromعَطِيَّةَAtiyyahالْعَوْفِيِّal-AwfiعَنْfromأَبِيAbuسَعِيدٍSa'idفَذَكَرَهُso he mentioned it.
I said: And it has been opposed by Jarir and it was narrated by Al-Thawri from al-Amash from Atiyyah al-Awfi from Abu Sa'id, so he mentioned it.
أَخْرَجَهُIt was issuedأَحْمَدُby Ahmad,,(۱۱۶۹۶)(11696)وَأَبُوand AbuنَعِيمٌNu'aymفِيinالْحَلِيبَةِal-Halibah(١٣۰/۷(130/7--١٣١)131)وَالْبَغَوِيُّand al-Baghawiفِيinشَرْحِexplanationالسُّنَّةِof the Sunnah(٤۲٩٩)(4299)وَغَيْرُهُمْand others.
It was issued by Ahmad (11696) and Abu Nu'aym in the Halibah (130/7 - 131) and al-Baghawi in the explanation of the Sunnah (4299) and others.
قُلْتُI said:: هَذَاThisالطَّرِيقُrouteأَصَحُّis the strongest.,,وَالْحَدِيثُAnd the hadithمَعْرُوفٌis well-knownعَنْfromعَطِيَّةَAtiyyahالْعَوْفِيِّal-Awfi,,فَقَدْfor it hasرَوَاهُbeen narratedخَالِدٌby KhalidبِنْbinطَهْمَانَTa'maanالْخَفَّافُthe lighter,,كَمَاlikeفِيinأَكْثَرَmostالرِّوَايَاتِof the narrationsوَandحَجَّاجٌHajjajبِنْbinأَرْطَاةَArtaahوَعِمْرَانَand 'Imranالْبَارِقِيُّal-Baarqiوَعَمَّارٌand 'Ammarالدَّهْنِيُّal-Dahaniوَعَمْرٌand AmrبِنْbinقَيْسٍQaysوَمَالِكٌand MalikبِنbinمُغُولٍMughul,,كُلُّهُمْall of themعَنْfromعَطِيَّةَAtiyyahعَنْfromأَبِيAbuسَعِيدٍSa'idفَذَكَرَهُso he mentioned it.
I said: This route is the strongest, and the hadith is well-known from Atiyyah al-Awfi, for it has been narrated by Khalid bin Ta'maan the lighter, like in most of the narrations, and Hajjaj bin Artaah and 'Imran al-Baarqi and 'Ammar al-Dahani and Amr bin Qays and Malik bin Mughul, all of them from Atiyyah from Abu Sa'id, so he mentioned it.
قَالَHe saidابْنُIbnعَدِيٌّAdiبَعْدَafterأَنْthatذَكَرَhe mentionedأَوْجُهَthe anglesالِاخْتِلَافِof disagreement::وَرَوَاهُand narratedجَمَاعَةٌa groupكَثِيرَةٌmanyعَنْfromعَطِيَّةَAtiyyahعَنْfromأَبِيAbuسَعِيدٍSa'idوَهَذَاand thisأَصَحُّهَاis the most authentic.
He said Ibn Adi after he mentioned the angles of disagreement: and a group of many narrated from Atiyyah from Abu Sa'id, and this is the most authentic.

قُلْتُI said:: عَطِيَّةَAtiyyahالْعَوْفِيَّal-Awfiضَعِيفٌis weakالْحَدِيثُthe hadith.
I said: Atiyyah al-Awfi is weak in the hadith.

And it was issued by Bukhari in the ethics (549) and al-Hakim 128/1 (201) and al-Mizzi in the tahdhib al-kamal (539/32, 540).
مِنْFromطَرِيقِthe routeيُونُسَYunusبِنbinالْقَاسِمِal-Qasimالْحَنَفِيِّal-HanafiعَنْfromعِكْرِمَةَIkrimahبِنbinخَالِدٍKhalidقَالَsaid:: سَمِعْتُI heardابْنَIbnعُمَرَUmarفَذَكَرَهُso he mentioned it.
From the route of Yunus bin al-Qasim al-Hanafi from Ikrimah bin Khalid said: I heard Ibn Umar, so he mentioned it.
قَالَHe saidالْحَاكِمُal-Hakim::أَهَذَاIs thisحَدِيثٌa hadithصَحِيحٌauthenticعَلَىuponشَرْطِthe conditionالشَّيْخَيْنِof the two Shaykhsوَلَمand did notيَخْرُجَاهُissue it.
Al-Hakim said: "Is this hadith authentic according to the condition of the two Shaykhs, and they did not issue it?"
