مَواقِفُهُhis positionبَيْنَbetweenيَدَيّmy handsالْمَلِكِthe king،,وَلَاand notيَسْتَعِدُّprepareلَهُfor himوَلَاand notيَأْخُذُtakeلَهُfor himأَهْبَتَهُhis preparations،,؟?
His position between my hands, and he does not prepare for him nor take his preparations?
قِيلَit was said::هَذَاthisـ-لِعُمُرِby the life ofاللهِGod--سُؤَالٌa questionصَحِيحٌcorrectوَارِدٌvalidعَلَىonأَكْثَرِmostهَذَاof thisالْخَلْقِcreation..
It was said: This - by the life of God - is a correct question valid for most of this creation.
وَاجْتِمَاعُAnd the gatheringهَذَيْنِof these twoالأَمْرَيْنِmattersمِنَofأَعْجَبِthe most astonishingالأَشْيَاءِthings..
And the gathering of these two matters is one of the most astonishing things.
وَهَذَاAnd thisالتَّخَلُّفُbackwardnessلَهُhasعِدَّةًseveralأَسْبَابٍcauses::أَحَدُهَاOne of them is::ضَعْفُweaknessالْعِلْمِof knowledgeوَنَقْصَانُand lackالْيَقِينِof certainty.وَمِنَAnd fromظَنَّhe thoughtأَنْthatالْعِلْمَknowledgeلَاdoes notيَتَفَاوَتُvary,فَقَوْلُهُhis statementمِنْis one ofأَفْسَدَthe most corruptالأَقْوَالِstatementsوَأَبْطَلَهَاand voided it.وَقَدْAnd hasسَأَلَaskedإِبْرَاهِيمَIbrahimالْخَلِيلَthe friend (of God)رَبَّهُhis Lordأَنْtoيُرِيَهُshow himإِحْيَاءَthe reviving ofالْمَوْتَىthe deadعَيْانًاin realityبَعْدَafterعِلْمِهِhis knowledgeبِقُدْرَةِof the powerالرَّبِّof the Lordعَلَىoverذَٰلِكَthat,لِيَزْدَادَto increaseطَمَأْنِينَةًhis tranquility,وَيَصِيرَand becomesالْمَعْلُومَthe knownغَيْبًاhidden(٣)شَهَادَةًa testimony.
And this backwardness has several causes: One of them is the weakness of knowledge and the lack of certainty. And whoever thinks that knowledge does not vary, his statement is one of the most corrupt and voided statements. And Ibrahim, the friend (of God), asked his Lord to show him the reviving of the dead in reality after his knowledge of the Lord's power over that, to increase his tranquility, and thus, the known becomes a testimony of the unseen.
وَقَدْAnd hasرَوَىreportedأَحْمَدُAhmadفِيinمُسْنَدِهِhis Musnadعَنْfromالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetﷺ(Peace be upon him)أَنَّهُthat heقَالَsaid:لَيْسَnotالْخَبَرُthe newsكَالمُعَايَنَةِlike witnessing.(٥)
And Ahmad reported in his Musnad from the Prophet (Peace be upon him) that he said: "The news is not like witnessing."
(۱)س:Q:«وَقُوفُهُ"His standing...(۲)فَ،F,ز:Z:«أَهْبَةٌ"preparation.(٤)فِيinمُسْنَدِهِhis Musnadعَنْfromالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetﷺ(Peace be upon him)أَنَّهُthat heقَالَsaid:«لَيْسَ"Notالْخَبَرُthe newsكَالمُعَايَنَةِlike witnessing."(ص)(S)
(1) Q: "His standing." (2) F, Z: "preparation." (4) In his Musnad from the Prophet (Peace be upon him) that he said: "Not the news like witnessing." (S) This in the hadith of Anas bin Malik was reported by Ibn Adi in Al-Kamil.

It was reported this hadith of Anas bin Malik among Ibn Adi in Al-Kamil (291/6) and Al-Khatib the wording of the hadith.
