Al-A'mash narrated from At'aa bin Abu Rabah, from Ibn Umar who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: If the people withhold with dinar and dirham, and engage in trade with Al-'Aynah, and follow the tails of cattle, and abandon the jihad in the way of Allah, Allah sends down upon them a trial, and He does not remove it until they return to their religion.

And Ibn Abi Dunya mentioned from the hadith of Ibn Umar who said: Indeed, I have seen us and none is more deserving of his dinar and dirham than his Muslim brother. And indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: If the people withhold with dinar and dirham, and they engage in trade with Al-'Aynah, and they abandon the jihad, and they take the tails of the cattle, Allah sends down upon them from the heavens a trial, so He does not remove it from them until they return to their religion."
