يَذُوبُmeltsفِيهِin itقَلْبُthe heartالْمُؤْمِنِof the believer,,كَمَاasيَذُوبُmeltsالْمَلْحُthe saltفِيinالْمَاءِthe water

The heart of the believer melts in it, just as salt melts in water.

قِيلَIt was said::مِمَّFrom whatيَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Allah؟?

It was said: From what, O Messenger of Allah?

قَالَHe said::مِمَّاFrom whatيَرَىhe seesمِنَfromالْمُنْكَراتِthe wrong (or immoral)لَاnotيَسْتَطِيعُable toتَغْيِيرَهُchange it

He said: From what he sees of the wrong that he is not able to change.

وَذَكَرَAnd mentionedالإِمَامَthe ImamأَحْمَدُAhmad((٣3))مِنْfromحَدِيثٍthe hadith[[١/٢٤1/24]]جَرِيرٍJarirأَنَّthatالنَّبِيَّthe Prophet, peace be upon himقَالَsaid::«مَا"There is notمِنْfromقَوْمٍa peopleيُعْمَلُin which is actedفِيهِمْamong themبِالْمَعَاصِيwith sins,,إِلَّاexceptهُمْthey areأَعَزُّmore honoredوَأَكْثَرُand more numerousمِمَّنْthanيُعْمَلُis committed by them,,لَمْnotيُغَيِّرُوهُthey changeإِلَّاexceptعَمَّهُمthey are overwhelmed by themاللَّهُAllahبِعِقَابٍwith punishment.

And Imam Ahmad mentioned in the hadith of Jarir that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "There is not a people in which sins are acted among them, and they are more honored and numerous than those who commit them; they have not changed it except that Allah has overwhelmed them with punishment."

وَفِيAnd inصَحِيحِThe AuthenticالْبُخَارِيِّBukhari((٥5))عَنْaboutأُسَامَةَUsamaابْنِson ofزَيْدٍZaidقَالَsaid::سَمِعْتُI heardرَسُولَthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahيَقُولُsaying::«يُجَاءُ"A man will be broughtبِالرَّجُلِto the manيَوْمَon the Dayالْقِيَامَةِof Resurrection,,فَيُلْقَىand he will be thrownفِيinالنَّارِthe fire,,فَتَنْدَلِقُand his entrails will spillأَقْتَابُهُoutفِيinالنَّارِthe fire,,فَيَدُورُand he will rotateكَمَاasيَدُورُhe rotatesالْحِمَارُthe donkeyبِرَحَاهُaround its mill,,فَيَجْمَعُand the peopleعَلَيْهِwill gather around himأَهْلُthe inhabitantsالنَّارِof the fire,,فَيَقُولُونَand they will say::أَيُّOفُلَانٍso-and-so,,مَاwhatشَأْنُكَis your matter?::أَلَسْتَWere you notتَأْمُرُنَاcommand usبِالْمَعْرُوفِwith the goodوَتَنْهَانَاand forbid usعَنْfromالْمُنْكَرِ؟the wrong?قَالَ:He said:كُنتُI used toئَامُرُكُمْcommand youبِالْمَعْرُوفِwith the goodوَلَاand notئَاتِيَهُfulfill it,,وَأَنْهَاكُمand forbid youعَنْfromالْمُنْكَرِthe wrong

And in Sahih Bukhari, concerning Usama ibn Zaid, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: "A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be thrown into the fire, and his entrails will spill out into the fire and he will rotate like a donkey around its mill, and the inhabitants of the fire will gather around him, and they will say: 'O so-and-so, what is your matter? Were you not used to command us with the good and forbid us from the wrong?' He will say: 'I used to command you with the good but I did not fulfill it, and I forbade you from the wrong.'"
