وَمِنْهَاAnd among them::حِرْمَانُDeprivationالرِّزْقِof sustenance..
And among them is deprivation of sustenance.
وَفِيAnd inالْمُسْنَدِthe Musnad::إِنَّIndeedالْعَبْدَthe servantلَيُحْرَمَis surely deprivedالرِّزْقَof sustenanceبِالذَّنْبِby the sinيُصِيبُهُhe commits..
And in the Musnad: Indeed, the servant is surely deprived of sustenance by the sin he commits.
وَقَدْAnd it hasتَقَدَّمَpreceded(١).
And it has preceded (1).
وَكَمَاAnd asأَنَّthatتَقْوَىpietyاللّهَof Allahمُجْلِبَةٌbringsلِلرِّزْقِto sustenance،,فَتَرْكُthe abandonment ofالتَّقْوَىpietyمُجْلِبَةٌis a causeلِلْفَقْرِfor poverty..
And as the piety of Allah brings sustenance, the abandonment of piety is a cause for poverty.
فَمَاSo whatاُسْتَجْلَبَis soughtرِزْقُsustenanceاللّهِof Allahبِمِثْلِlikeتَرْكَthe abandonmentالْمَعَاصِيof sins..
So what is sought from the sustenance of Allah is like the abandonment of sins.
وَمِنْهَاAnd among them::وَحْشَةٌA lonelinessيَجِدُهَاhe finds itالْعَاصِيthe sinnerفِيinقَلْبِهِhis heartبَيْنَهُbetween himوَبَيْنَand betweenاللَّهِAllah،,لَاnotيُوَازِنُهَاis comparable to itوَلَاnorيُقَارِنُهَاis contrasted with it(٢)لَذَّةٌa pleasureأَصْلًاat all..
And among them is a loneliness the sinner finds in his heart between him and Allah, which is not comparable to any pleasure at all.
وَلَوْAnd ifاجْتَمَعَتْwere gatheredلَهُfor himلَذَّاتُthe pleasures ofالدُّنْيَاthe worldبِأَسْرِهَاin their entiretyلَمْwould notتَفِbe enoughبِتِلْكَfor thatالْوَحْشَةِloneliness..
And if the pleasures of the world were gathered for him in their entirety, they would not be enough for that loneliness.
وَهَذَاAnd thisأَمْرٌis a matterلَاthat no oneيَحِسُّfeelsبِهِitإِلَّاexceptمَنْthose whoفِيinقَلْبِهِhis heartحَيَاةٌlife.,,وَمَاand whatلَجُرْحٍfor a woundبِمَيْتٍin a dead personإِيْلَامٌis painful".(٣).
And this matter is felt by no one except those who have life in their hearts. And 'what is painful for a wound in a dead person?'
فَلَوْSo ifلَمْnotيَتْرُكْhe leavesالذُّنُوبَthe sinsإِلَّاexceptحَذَرًاout of fearمِنْofوُقُوعٍfallingتِلْكَinto thatالْوَحْشَةِloneliness,,,لَكَانَthen it would beالْعَاقِلُthe rational personحَرِيًّاshould be eagerبِتَرْكِهَاto abandon it..
So if he did not leave the sins except out of fear of falling into that loneliness, then the rational person should be eager to abandon it.

And a man complained to some of the knowledgeable about a loneliness he finds in himself, and he said to him: If the sins have made you feel lonely, then abandon them if you wish and seek comfort.
