تُدْرِكُrealizeالسَّابِعَthe seventhمِنَofالْوَلَدِthe child
Realize the seventh of the child.
وَلَيْسَتْAnd notسَعَةُthe breadthالرِّزْقِof provisionوَالْعَمَلِand workبِكَثْرَتِهِby its abundance,,وَلَاnorطُولُthe lengthالْعُمُرِof lifeبِكَثْرَةِby the abundanceالشُّهُورِof monthsوَالسَّنَوَاتِand years,,وَلَكِنْbutسَعَةُthe abundanceالرِّزْقِof provisionوَالْعُمُرِand lifeبِالْبَرَكَةِby the blessingفِيهِin it
And not the abundance of provision and work, nor the length of life by the abundance of months and years, but the abundance of provision and life is by the blessing in it.
وَقَدْAnd indeedتَقَدَّمَit has been explainedأَنْthatعُمْرَthe lifespanالْعَبْدِof the servantهُوَisمُدَّةُthe durationحَيَاتِهِof his life,,وَلَاand there is noحَيَاةٌlifeلِمَنْfor whoeverأَعْرَضَturns awayعَنْfromاللَّهِAllah,,وَاشْتَغَلَand occupies himselfبِغَيْرِهِwith othersبَلْratherحَيَاةُthe lifeالْبَهَائِمِof the animalsخَيْرٌis betterمِنْthanحَيَاتِهِhis life,,فَإِنَّfor indeedحَيَاةَthe lifeالْإِنْسَانِof manبِحَيَاةِis by the lifeقَلْبِهِof his heartوَرُوحِهِand his soul,,وَلَاand there is noحَيَاةٌlifeلِقَلْبِهِfor his heartإِلَّاexceptبِمَعْرِفَةِby the knowledgeفَاطِرِهِof his Creator,,وَمَحَبَّتِهِand his love,,وَعِبَادَتِهِand his worshipوَحْدَهُalone,,وَالإِنَابَةِand returningإِلَيْهِto Him,,وَالطُّمَأْنِينَةُand reassuranceبِذِكْرِهِby His remembrance,,وَالْأُنْسُand intimacyبِقُرْبِهِwith His closeness
And it has been explained that the lifespan of the servant is the duration of his life, and there is no life for anyone who turns away from Allah and occupies himself with others; rather, the life of animals is better than his life, for indeed the life of man is by the life of his heart and his soul, and there is no life for his heart except by the knowledge of his Creator, and His love, and His worship alone, and returning to Him, and reassurance by His remembrance, and intimacy with His closeness.
وَمَنAnd whoeverفَقَدْlosesهَذِهِthisالْحَيَاةَlifeفَقَدْhas lostالْخَيْرَthe goodكُلَّهُentirely,,وَلَوْeven ifتَعَوَّضَhe compensatesعَنْهَاfor itبِمَاwith whatتَعَوَّضَhe compensates
And whoever loses this life has lost all good, even if he compensates for it with whatever.
فَمَاFor whatفِيis inالدُّنْيَاthe worldبَلْindeedلَيْسَتit is notالدُّنْيَاthe worldبِأَجْمَعِهَاin its entiretyعَوْضًاa compensationعَنْforهَذِهِthisالْحَيَاةِlife!!
For what is in the world; indeed, the world in its entirety is not a compensation for this life!
فَمَنSo whoeverكُلَّallشَيْءٍthingsيَفُوتُmissesالْعَبْدَthe servantعِوَضٌcompensation,,وَإِذَاand ifفَاتَهُhe missesاللَّهُAllahلَمْthen notيُعَوِّضْcompensateعَنْهُfor himشَيْئًاanythingالْبَتَّةَat all
So whoever misses things, and if he misses Allah, then nothing compensates for him at all.
وَكَيْفَAnd howيَعَوِّضُcan compensateالْفَقِيرُthe poorبِالذَّاتِby himselfعَنْforالْغَنِيِّthe richبِالذَّاتِby himself,,وَالْعَاجِزُand the incapableبِالذَّاتِby himselfعَنْforالْقَادِرِthe capableبِالذَّاتِby himself,,وَالْمَيْتُand the deadعَنْforالْحَيِّthe livingالَّذِيwhoلَاdoes notيَمُوتُdie,,وَالْمَخْلُوقُand the createdعَنْforالْخَالِقِthe Creator,,وَمَنْand whoلَاdoes notوُجُودٌexistلَهُfor himوَلَاand notشَيْءٌa thingلَهُfor himمِنْfromذَاتِهِhis own selfالْبَتَّةَat allعَمَّنcompared to whomغِنَاهُhis richnessوَحَيَاتَهُand his lifeوَكَمَالَهُand his perfectionوَوُجُودِهِand his existenceوَرَحْمَتِهِand his mercyمِنْofلَوَازِمِthe essentialsذَاتِهِof his self
And how can the poor compensate for the rich, and the incapable for the capable, and the dead for the living who does not die, and the created for the Creator, and who does not exist at all, compared to who has his richness, his life, his perfection, his existence, and his mercy as the essentials of his self?
وَكَيْفَAnd howيُعَوِّضُcan compensateمَنْsomeone whoلَاdoes notيَمْلِكُpossessمِثْقَالَa weightذَرَّةٍof a particleعَمَّنfrom one whoلَهُhasمُلْكُthe possession ofالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضِand the earth
And how can someone who does not possess a weight of a particle compensate from one who has the possession of the heavens and the earth?
