مَكَانَهَاits placeكَلِمَاتwordsأُخْرَىotherوَلَمَّاand whenضَاقَnarrowedالمَكَانُthe placeأَضافَhe addedكَلِمَتَيْنِtwo wordsفَوْقَaboveالسَّطْرِthe lineبِعَلَامَةٍwith a mark«صَح»"correct".
Its place was other words, and when the place narrowed, he added two words above the line with a mark "correct".
قَالَHe saidالمُؤَلِّفُthe authorرَحِمَهُ اللهُmay God have mercy on himوَقَدْand indeedنَقَلَtransferredاللَّهُGodسُبْحَانَهُthe ExaltedآدَمَAdamوَحَوَّاءَand Eveمِنَfromالْجَنَّةِthe paradiseبِذَنبٍby a sinواحِدٍoneارْتَكَبَاهُthey committedوَخَالَفَاand they disobeyedفِيهِin itنَهْيَهُHis prohibitionوَلَعَنَand cursedإِبْلِيسَIblisوَطَرَدَهُand expelled himوَأَخْرَجَهُand brought him outمِنْfromمَلَكُوتِthe kingdomالسَّمَاءِof the heavensبِذَنبٍby a sinارْتَكَبَهُhe committed.
The author, may God have mercy on him, said: Indeed, God transferred Adam and Eve from Paradise by a single sin they committed and disobeyed His prohibition, and cursed Iblis, and expelled him and took him out of the kingdom of the heavens by a sin he committed.
فَغَيَّرَهُSo this reader changedهَذَاthisالْقَارِئُreaderإِلَىto::«"......مِنَfromالْجَنَّةِthe paradiseإِلَىtoالأَرْضِthe earthبِذَنبٍby a sinواحِدٍoneبِالْغَفْلَةِby negligenceعَنْaboutمُخَالَفَةِdisobedienceنَهْيَهِHis prohibitionوَلَعَنَand cursedإِبْلِيسَIblis......وَأَخْرَجَهُand brought him outمِنْfromمُشَارَكَةِthe participationأَهْلِof the peopleالسَّمَاءِof the heavensفِيinالسَّعَادَةِthe happinessبِذَنبٍby a sinارْتَكَبَهُhe committed.
So this reader changed it to: "... from Paradise to Earth by a single sin by negligence regarding His prohibition, and cursed Iblis... and brought him out from the participation of the people of the heavens in happiness by a sin he committed."
وَذَٰلِكَAnd thatبِأَنَّهُis because heمَحَاerasedالْكَلِمَاتِthe words«ارْتَكَبَاهُ،"they committed,وَخَالَفَاand disobeyedفِي،in,وَكَتَبَand wroteمَكَانَهَاin place of itبِالْغَفْلَةِby negligenceعَنْaboutمُخَالَفَةِdisobedience.
And that is because he erased the words "they committed, and disobeyed in," and wrote in its place "by negligence about disobedience."
وَهَكَذَاAnd similarlyفِيinالْجُمَلَةِthe sentenceالثَّانِيَةِthe secondمَحَاhe erasedكَلِمَةَthe word«مَلَكُوتِ»"kingdom,"وَكَتَبَand wroteمُشَارَكَةَthe participationأَهْلِof the people.
And similarly in the second sentence, he erased the word "Kingdom," and wrote "the participation of the people."
ثُمَّThenزَادَhe addedفِيinالْأُولَىthe firstبَعْدَafterمِنَfromالْجَنَّةِthe paradiseفَوْقَهَاabove itإِلَىtoالأَرْضِ»،the earth,"وَفِيand inالثَّانِيَةِthe secondبَعْدَafter«أَهْلِ"the people ofالسَّمَاءِ»the heavens"فَوْقَهَاabove itأَيْضًاalso::«فِي"inالسَّعَادَةِ»happiness".
Then he added in the first after "from Paradise" above it "to the earth," and in the second after "the people of the heavens" above it also: "in happiness."
وَهَذَاAnd thisالتَّصَرُّفُactمِنْهُof himجُنَايَةٌis a crimeوَعُدْوَانٌand aggression.
And this act of him is a crime and aggression.

وَقَدْAnd it hasكُتِبَتْbeen writtenسَنَةًthe year٧٨٥،785,كَمَاasفِيinخَاتِمَتِهَا:its conclusion:تَمَّcompletedالْكِتَابُthe bookوَالْحَمْدُand praiseلِلَّهِbe to Godرَبِّthe Lordالْعَالَمِينَof the worldsفِيinعَشِيَّةِthe eveالْجُمُعَةِof Fridayلِخَمْسَةِfor fiveعَشَرَةَtenخَلَتْpassedمِنْfromشَهْرِthe monthشَوَّالِof Shawwalالْمُبَارَكِthe blessedعَامٍyearخَمْسٍfive(كَذَا)(so)
And it has been written in the year 785, as in its conclusion: The book has been completed, and praise be to God, the Lord of the worlds, on the eve of Friday for the fifteen days that passed from the blessed month of Shawwal in the year five (so) and eighty and seven hundred.
أَحْسَنَMay He make goodاللَّهُGodخَاتِمَتَهُ،its conclusion,وَتَقْضِيَتَهُand its completionوَنَفَعَand benefitكَاتِبَهُits writerوَقَارِئَهُand its readerبِمَاwith whatفِيهِ،is in it,بِمَنِّْهِby His graceوَكَرَمِهِ»and generosity.
May God make good its conclusion, and its completion, and benefit its writer and reader with what is in it, by His grace and generosity."
هَذَاThisالنَّاسِخُcopyistأَيْضًاalsoلَمdid notيَذْكُرْmentionاسْمَهُ،his name,وَلَاnorأَشَارَdid indicateإِلَىtoالْأَصْلِthe originالَّذِيthatنَقَلَhe transferredمِنْهُfrom itنَسْخَتَهُ.his copy.
This copyist also did not mention his name, nor did he indicate the origin from which he transferred his copy.
