وَقَدْAndوَرَدَwasعُنْوَانُthe titleالْكِتَابِof the bookوَالْمُؤَلِّفُand the authorبِخَطِّin the handwritingالنَّاسِخِof the copyistفِيinصَفْحَةِthe pageالْعُنْوَانِof the title

And the title of the book and the author was in the handwriting of the copyist on the title page.

عَلَىOnهَذَاthisالْوَجْهِmanner

In this manner:

كِتَابُBookالْدَّاءِof Diseaseوَالْدَّوَاءِand Cure,,تَأْلِيفٌAuthored byالشَّيْخِSheikhالإِمَامِthe Imamالعَالِمِthe ScholarشَيْخِSheikhالإِسْلَامِof Islamمُفْتِيthe Muftiالْفِرَقِof the sectsشَمْسِ الدِّينِShams al-Dinأَبُو عبد اللهAbu AbdullahمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadابْنِson ofأَبِيAbuبَكْرٍBakrابْنِson ofأَيُّوبَAyyubابْنِson ofسَعْدٍSa'dإِمَامِthe Imamالْمَدْرَسَةِof the schoolالْجَوْزِيَّةِal-JawziyyahرَحِمَهُMay Allah have mercy on himاللَّهُAllahوَرَضِيَand be pleasedعَنْهُwith himآمِينَAmenآمِينَAmen

Book of Disease and Cure, authored by Sheikh Imam Scholar of Islam, the Mufti of the sects, Shams al-Din Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr ibn Ayyub ibn Sa’d, the Imam of the al-Jawziyyah school, may Allah have mercy on him and be pleased with him. Amen. Amen.

وَبِجَانِبِAnd next toهَذِهِthisالْعِبَارَةِphraseقَيْدٌis a noteتَمَلُّكٍof ownershipنَصُّهُits text

And next to this phrase is a note of ownership:

مِنْFromكُتُبِthe booksمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadعَطَائِيٍّAṭāʾī,,اشْتَرىpurchasedمُحَمَّدٌMuhammadالْحِجَازِيُّal-Hijaziمِنْfromمَخَلَّفَاتِthe remnantsعَطَائِيٍّAṭāʾīبِحَرفٍwith the letter(كذلك)(thus)

From the books of Muhammad Aṭāʾī, al-Hijazi purchased from the remnants of Aṭāʾī with the letter (thus).

وَقَدْAndاشْتَرىpurchasedمُحَمَّدٌMuhammadالْحِجَازِيُّal-Hijaziهَذِهِthisنُسْخَةًcopyمِنْofشَرْحِthe explanationالشَّافِيَةِof al-Shafiyyahلِلْجَارْوَرْدِيِّby al-Jarwardiأَيْضًاalsoمِنْfromمَخَلَّفَاتِthe remnantsعَطَائِيٍّAṭāʾīوَهِيَand itمَحْفُوظَةٌis preservedفِيinمَكْتَبَةِthe libraryكُوبْرُولِيِّKöprülüبِرَقْمِnumber٣٠٢302

And Muhammad al-Hijazi purchased this copy of the explanation of al-Shafiyyah by al-Jarwardi, also from the remnants of Aṭāʾī, and it is preserved in the Köprülü library under the number 302.

وَكَتَبَAnd he wroteعَلَيْهَاon itمِنْfromكُتُبِthe booksالْفَقِيرِof the poorمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadابْنِson ofمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadالْحِجَازِيِّal-Hijaziإِمَامِthe Imamالْمَسْجِدِof the mosqueالْحَرَامِthe Sacredوَخَطِيبِهِand his preacherبِالْشِّرَاءِin purchasingمِنْfromمَخَلَّفَاتِthe remnantsمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadعَطَائِيٍّAṭāʾīفِيinآخِرِthe endرَجَبٍof Rajabثَمَانِينَeightyوَأَلْفٍand one thousand

And he wrote on it: From the books of the poor Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Hijazi, Imam of the Sacred Mosque and its preacher, in purchasing from the remnants of Muhammad Aṭāʾī at the end of Rajab of eighty and one thousand.

Year.

يُفِيدُThis indicatesهَذَاthatالْقَيْدَthe noteأَنَّthatالْمُشْتَرِيَthe buyerمِنْis fromرِجَالِthe menالْقَرْنِof the centuryالْحَادِيَthe eleventhعَشَرَcenturyوَأَنَّهُand that heكَانَwasإِمَامًاan Imamوَخَطِيبًاand a preacherفِيinالْمَسْجِدِthe mosqueالْحَرَامِthe Sacred

This indicates that the buyer is from the men of the eleventh century and that he was an Imam and a preacher in the Sacred Mosque.

أَمَّاAs forمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadعَطَائِيٍّAṭāʾī,,فَلَعَلَّهُperhaps he is«مُحَمَّدٌMuhammadابْنُson ofيَحْيَىYahyaالْمُتَخَلِّصُwho adopts the takhallus- عَلَى- in theالطَّرِيقَةِTurkish wayالتركيةof Aṭāʾī,,الْمَعْرُوفُknownبِنَوْعَيْas the author of two kindsزَادَهُof Zādahالْمُتَوَفَّىwho diedسَنَةًyear١٠٤٤هـ1044 AH

As for Muhammad Aṭāʾī, perhaps he is "Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Mutakhalis - in the Turkish way - known as the author of two kinds of Zādah, who died in the year 1044 AH.

وَهُوَAnd he isمُؤَرِّخٌa historianتُرْكِيٌّTurkishوَلَهُand he hasمَعْرِفَةٌknowledgeبِالأَدَبِof literatureالْعَرَبِيِّArabicوَفِقْهٍand the jurisprudenceالْحَنِيفِيَّةِof the Hanafi school

And he is a Turkish historian, and he has knowledge of Arabic literature and Hanafi jurisprudence.
