بَعْدَafterبِالأَعْمَالِthe deedsالصَّالِحَةِrighteous
After the deeds: "the righteous".
إِنَّمَاratherتُنصَرُونَyou are assistedمِنَfromالسَّمَاءِthe heavenزَادَaddedبَعْدَهَاafter itبِالدُّعَاءِby supplication
Rather, you are assisted from the heavens; added after it: "by supplication."
وَبِالِاحْتِجَاجِand by argumentبِالأَشْبَاهِby similaritiesوَالنَّظَرِand considerationوَالِاقتِدَاءِand followingبِالْأَكَابِرِthe eldersتَارَةًat times
And by argument with similarities and consideration and following the elders at times.
كَلِمَةٌA wordوَالنَّظَرِand considerationفِيinهَذِهِthisالْعِبَارَةِphraseتَحْرِيفٌis a distortionوَالصَّوَابُand the correctوَالنَّظِيرَاتُis "and the likenesses".
A word and consideration in this phrase is a distortion, and the correct is "and the likenesses."
فَلَمَّاSo whenأَشْكَلَتْit became unclear toعَلَىsomeبَعْضِهِمْof themزَادَaddedبَعْدَهَاafter itإِلَيْهِمْto them.
So when it became unclear to some of them, it was added after it: "to them."
وَقَدْAnd there hasوَقَعَoccurredمَحْوٌerasureوَتَغْيِيرٌand alterationبَعْضُsometimes.الأَوقَاتِtimes
And there has occurred erasure and alteration sometimes.
وَمِنْAnd fromأَمْثِلَةٍexamplesذَلِكَthatرَفْعٍraisingرَأْسِهِhis headإِلَىtoالسَّمَاءِthe heaven
And from those examples: "raising his head to the heavens."
