وَعِمَادُAnd the mainstayالدِّينِ،of the religion,وَنورُand the lightالسَّمَاوَاتِof the heavensوَالْأَرْضِ»،and the earth."

And the mainstay of the religion, and the light of the heavens and the earth."

وَلَهُAnd for himمَعَwithالْبَلَاءِthe calamityثَلاثَthreeمَقَامَاتٍ :positions:

And for him with the calamity, there are three positions:

أَحَدُهَا:One of them is:أَنْthatيَكُونَhe isأَقْوَىstrongerمِنَthanالْبَلَاءِ،the calamity,فَيَدْفَعَهُ.and he repels it.

One of them is: that he is stronger than the calamity, and he repels it.

الثَّانِيThe second::أَنْis thatيَكُونَhe isأَضْعَفَweakerمِنَthanالْبَلَاءِ،the calamity,فَيَقْوَىand the calamity is strengthenedعَلَيْهِagainst himالْبَلَاءِ،the calamity,فَيُصَابَand he is struckبِهِby it.

The second: is that he is weaker than the calamity, and the calamity gets the upper hand against him and strikes him.

وَلَكِنَّHowever(۱)(1)قَدْit mayيُخَفِّفَهُ،lighten it,وَإِنْand ifكَانَhe isضَعِيفًا.weak.

However (1) it may lighten it, even if he is weak.

الثَّالِثُThe thirdأَنْis thatيَتَقَاوَمَاthey resist one anotherوَيَمْنَعَand preventكُلَّeachوَاحِدٍoneمِنْهُمَاof themصَاحِبَهُ .his companion.

The third is that they resist one another and prevent each from his companion.

وَقَدْAnd it has beenرُوِيَnarratedالْحَاكِمُby Al-Hakimفِيinصَحِيحِهِhis authentic book(۲)(2)مِنْfromحَدِيثِthe hadith ofعَائِشَةَAishaقَالَتْ :she said:قَالَHe saidلِيto meرَسُولُthe Messengerاللَّهِ ﷺ :of Allah ﷺ :«لَا"Do notيُغْنِيbenefitحَذَرٌcautionمِنْfromقَدَرٍ،fate,وَالْدُّعَاءِand prayerيَنْفَعُis beneficialمِمَّاfor whatنَزَلَhas descendedوَمِمَّاand for whatلَمْhas notيَنْزِلْ.descended.

And it has been narrated by Al-Hakim in his authentic book (2) from the hadith of Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do not let caution benefit against fate, and prayer is beneficial for what has descended and what has not descended.

وَإِنْAnd ifالْبَلَاءُthe calamityلَيَنْزِلَis indeed to descendفَيُلْقَاهُand it encountersالدُّعَاءُ،the prayer,فَيَعْتَلِجَانِthey will wrestleإِلَىuntilيَوْمِthe Dayالْقِيَامَةِ.of Resurrection.

And if the calamity is indeed to descend, it will encounter the prayer, and they will wrestle until the Day of Resurrection.

وَفِيهِAnd in itأَيضًاalso(۳)(3)مِنْfromحَدِيثِthe hadith ofابْنِIbnعُمَرَUmarعَنْaboutالنَّبِيِّ ﷺthe Prophet ﷺقَالَ:said:«الدُّعَاءُ"The prayerيَنْفَعُis beneficialمِمَّاfor whatنَزَلَhas descendedوَمِمَّاand for whatلَمْhas notيَنْزِلْ،descended,فَعَلَيْكُمْso upon youعِبَادَO servantsاللَّهِof Allah:

And in it also (3) from the hadith of Ibn Umar about the Prophet ﷺ who said: "The prayer is beneficial for what has descended and for what has not descended, so upon you O servants of Allah, is the prayer."

(۱)(1)ز:Z: وَلَكِنَّهُ.but it.(۲)(2)٦٦٩/١669/1(۱۸۱۳).(1813).وَأَخْرَجَهُAnd it was narrated byالطَّبَرَانِيُّAl-Tabaraniفِيinالدُّعَاءِthe supplication(۳۳)،(33),وَالْبَزَّارُand Al-Bazzarفِيinمُسْنَدِهِhis Musnad(زَوَائِدِهِ:(its additions:(٢١٦٥2165وَغَيْرِهِمَا.and others.

(1) Z: but it. (2) 669/1 (1813). And it was narrated by Al-Tabarani in the supplication (33), and Al-Bazzar in his Musnad (its additions: 2165 and others.

قَالَHe saidالْحَاكِمُ:Al-Hakim:هَذَاThisحَدِيثٌhadithصَحِيحٌis authenticالإِسْنَادُthe chain of narratorsوَلَمْand has notيَخْرُجَاهُbeen narrated.وَتَعَقَّبَهُAnd Al-Dhahabi responded to itالذَّهَبِيُّAl-Dhahabiبِقَوْلِهِ:by saying:زَكَرِيَّاZakariyaمَجْمَعٌis agreedعَلَىuponضَعْفِهِ .its weakness.

Al-Hakim said: This hadith is authentic in the chain of narrators and has not been narrated. And Al-Dhahabi responded to it by saying: Zakariya is agreed upon its weakness.

(3)(3)٦٧٠/١670/1(۱۸۱٥)(1815).وَأَخْرَجَهُAnd it was narrated byالتُّرْمِذِيُّAl-Tirmidhi(٣٥٤٨)(3548)مِنْfromطَرِيقِthe pathعَبْدِالرَّحْمَنِAbdulrahmanابْنِthe son ofأَبِيAbuبَكْرٍBakrابْنِthe son ofأَبِيAbuمَلِيكَةَMalikعَنْaboutمُوسَىMusaابْنِthe son ofعُقْبَةَUqbaعَنْaboutنَافِعٍNafiعَنْaboutابْنِIbnعُمَرَ،Umar,فَذَكَرَهُ.and he mentioned it.

(3) 670/1 (1815). And it was narrated by Al-Tirmidhi (3548) from the path of Abdulrahman bin Abu Bakr bin Abu Malika from Musa bin Uqba from Nafi from Ibn Umar, and he mentioned it.

قَالَHe saidالتُّرْمِذِيُّ:Al-Tirmidhi:هَذَاThisحَدِيثٌhadithغَرِيبٌis strangeلَاWe do notنَعْرِفُهُknow itإِلَّاexceptمِنْfromحَدِيثِthe hadith ofعَبْدِالرَّحْمَنِAbdulrahmanابْنِthe son ofأَبِيAbuبَكْرٍBakrالْقُرَشِيِّ،the Qurashi,وَهُوَand he isضَعِيفٌweakفِيinالْحَدِيثِthe hadithضَعَّفَهُis made weakبَعْضٌby someأَهْلِof the peopleالعِلْمِof knowledgeمِنْdue toقِلَّةِhisحِفْظِهِ.preservation.

Al-Tirmidhi said: This hadith is strange, we do not know it except from the hadith of Abdulrahman bin Abu Bakr Al-Qurashi, and he is weak in the hadith. Some scholars have weakened him due to his preservation.

وَقَالَAnd he saidالذَّهَبِيُّAl-Dhahabiفِيinالتَّلْخِيصِ:the summary:عَبْدِالرَّحْمَنِAbdulrahmanوَاه» .is weak."

And he said Al-Dhahabi in the summary: Abdulrahman is weak."
