وَذَكَرَAnd mentionedعَبْدُ اللّهِAbdullahابْنَthe son ofالإِمَامِthe Imam(1)أَحْمَدَAhmedفِيinكِتَابِthe bookالزُّهْدِof asceticismلِأَبِيهِfor his father(٢):أَصَابَstruckبَنِيthe Children ofإِسْرَائِيلَIsraelبَلَاءً،with a calamity,فَخَرَجُواso they went outمَخْرَجًا،to a place,فَأَوْحَىthen Allah revealedاللّهُGodعَزَّthe Almightyوَجَلَّand Majesticإِلَىtoنَبِيِّهِمtheir prophetأَنْtoأَخْبِرْهُمْ:inform them:تَخْرُجُونَYou will go outإِلَىtoالصَّعِيدِthe landبِأَبْدَانٍ،with bodies,نَجِسَةٍ،unclean,وَتَرْفَعُونَand you will raiseإِلَيَّto Meأَكُفًّاhandsقَدْthat haveسَفَكْتُمْspilledبِهَاwith themالدِّمَاءَblood,وَمَلَأْتُمْand filledبِهَاthemبُيُوتَكُمْyour housesمِنَwithالْحَرَامِ،the forbidden,الْآنَnowحِينَwhenاشْتَدَّMy anger intensifiedغَضَبِيagainst you,عَلَيْكُمْ،and you will notوَلَنwill notتَزْدَادُواincrease for youمِنِّيfrom Meإِلَّاexceptبُعْدًا.distance.

And Abdullah the son of Imam Ahmed mentioned in the book of asceticism for his father: the Children of Israel were struck by a calamity, so they went out to a place. Then Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, revealed to their prophet to inform them: 'You will go out to the land with unclean bodies, and you will raise to Me hands that have spilled blood with them and filled your houses with the forbidden. Now when My anger has intensified against you, you will not increase for you except distance.'

وَقَالَAnd saidأَبُوAbuذَرٍّDharrيَكْفِيis sufficientمِنَofالدُّعَاءِthe supplicationمَعَwithالْبِرِّrighteousnessمَاwhatيَكْفِيis sufficientالطَّعَامَthe foodمِنَofالْمِلْحِ"salt.'

And Abu Dharr said: 'It is sufficient of supplication with righteousness what is sufficient for food from salt.'

فَصْلٌSectionوَالدُّعَاءُAnd the supplicationمِنَis amongأَنْفَعِthe most beneficialالأَدَوِيَةِmedicinesوَهُوَand it isعَدُوٌّan enemyالْبَلَاءِ،of calamity,يُدَافِعُهُit repelsوَيُعَالِجُهُ،and treats it,وَيَمْنَعُand preventsنُزُولَهُ،its descent,وَيَرْفَعُهُ،and elevates it,أَوْorيُخَفِّفُهُreduces itإِذَاwhenنَزَلَ.it descends.

Section: And supplication is among the most beneficial medicines, it repels calamity, treats it, prevents its descent, elevates it, or reduces it when it descends.

وَهُوَAnd it isسِلَاحُthe weaponالْمُؤْمِنِof the believerكَمَاasرَوَىnarratedالْحَاكِمُAl-Hakimفِيinصَحِيحِهِhis authentic bookمِنْfromحَدِيثٍthe narrationعَلِيٍّAliبِنَthe son ofأَبِيAbuطَالِبٍTalibقَالَ:said:قَالَHe saidرَسُولُthe Messengerاللّهِof Allahﷺ:(may peace be upon him):«الدُّعَاءُ'Supplicationسِلَاحُis the weaponالْمُؤْمِنِ،of the believer,

And it is the weapon of the believer as narrated by Al-Hakim in his authentic book from the narration of Ali the son of Abu Talib, who said: 'The supplication is the weapon of the believer,

(۱)«الإِمَامُ»The Imamمِنْofس.(۲)لَمْI did notأَقِفْfind itعَلَيْهِin itفِيinالْمَطْبُوعِ،the printed,وَأَخْرَجَهُand it was narrated byأَبُوAbuدَاوُدَDawoodفِيinالزُّهْدِthe book of asceticism(١٣)،(13),وَفِيand inسَندِهِits chainضَعِيفٌ.is weak.

(1) 'The Imam' is from the source. (2) I did not find it in the printed version, but it was narrated by Abu Dawood in the book of asceticism (13), and its chain is weak.

(٣)أَخْرَجَهُIt was narratedأَحْمَدُby Ahmadفِيinالزُّهْدِthe book of asceticism(٧٨٨)،(788),وَابْنُand IbnالْمُبَارَكِAl-Mubarakفِيinالزُّهْدِthe book of asceticism(٣١٩)(319)وَغَيْرِهُمَا،and others,مِنْfromطَرِيقِthe pathبَكْرٍof Bakrبِنِthe son ofعَبْدِ اللّهِAbdullahالْمُزَنِيِّthe MuzaniعَنْaboutأَبِيAbuذَرٍّDharrفَذَكَرَهُ.then he mentioned it.

(3) It was narrated by Ahmad in the book of asceticism (788), and by Ibn Al-Mubarak in the book of asceticism (319) and others, through the chain of Bakr the son of Abdullah Al-Muzani about Abu Dharr, then he mentioned it.

قَالَHe saidأَبُوAbuحَاتِمٍHatimالرَّازِي:Al-Razi:بَكْرٌBakrبِنَthe son ofعَبْدِ اللّهِAbdullahالمُزَنِيِّAl-MuzaniعَنْfromأَبِيAbuذَرٍّDharr«مُرْسَلُ'The mursalالْمَرَاسِيلِof the narrations(٢٥)(25)لَابْنِfor IbnأَبِيAbuحَاتِمٍHatim

Abu Hatim Al-Razi said: 'Bakr the son of Abdullah Al-Muzani from Abu Dharr is 'the mursal of the narrations (25) for Ibn Abu Hatim.

طَMayدَارَthe Houseالْكُتُبِof Booksالعُلْمِيَّةِ).Scientific).

(٤)٦٦٩/١(۱۸۱۲).وَأَخْرَجَهُAnd it was reportedابْنُby IbnعَدِيٍّAdiفِيinالكَامِلِthe Complete(١٧٢/٦)(172/6)وَالْقُضَاعِيُّand Al-Qudaiفِيinمُسْنَدِthe Musnadالشِّهَابِof Al-Shihab(١٤٣)(143)وَغَيْرِهُمَا.and others.

(4) And it was reported by Ibn Adi in the Complete (172/6) and Al-Qudai in the Musnad of Al-Shihab (143) and others.

قَالَHe saidالْحَاكِمُ:Al-Hakim:هَذَاThisحَدِيثٌhadithصَحِيحٌ،is authentic,فَإِنَّfor indeedمُحَمَّدًاMuhammadبْنَthe son ofالْحَسَنِAl-Hassanهَذَاthisهُوَisالتَّلٌّthe Tallأَوْorهُوَisصَدُوقٌtrustworthyفِيamongالْكُوفِيِّين.**the Kufi.

Al-Hakim said: 'This hadith is authentic, for indeed, Muhammad the son of Al-Hassan, he is the Tall or he is trustworthy among the Kufi.

قُلْتُ:I said:مُحَمَّدٌMuhammadبْنَthe son ofالْحَسَنِAl-Hassanهُوَisابْنُthe son ofأَبِيAbuيَزِيدَYazidالْهَمْدَانِي،the Hamdani,مَتْرُوكٌabandonedالْحَدِيثِ.the narration.

I said: 'Muhammad the son of Al-Hassan is the son of Abu Yazid Al-Hamdani, the narration is abandoned.'

وَكَذَّبَهُAnd he was lied aboutابْنُby IbnمَعِينٍMainوَأَبُوand AbuدَاوُدَDawoodوَقَالَand saidبَعْضُهُمْsome of themضَعِيفٌ.is weak.

And he was lied about by Ibn Main and Abu Dawood, and some of them said it is weak.
