العَظِيمthe Great.وَإِذَاAnd ifاجْتَهَدَhe strivesفِيinالدُّعَاءِsupplication::«يَاOحَيٍّLivingيَاOقَيُّومَSustainer».

The Great. And if he strives in supplication, he says: "O Living, O Sustainer."

وَفِيهِAnd in itأَيْضًاalsoمِنْfromحَدِيثِthe narrationأَنَسٍAnasبْنِbinمَالِكٍMalikقَالَhe said::كَانَwasالنَّبِيُّthe Prophetpeace be upon himإِذَاwhenكَرْبَةٍhe was distressedأَمْرٍmatterقَالَ:يَاOحَيٍّLivingيَاOقَيُّومَSustainer,بِرَحْمَتِكَby Your mercyأَسْتَغِيثُ»I seek help.”}],وَفِيAnd inالصَّحِيحِthe authenticالْحَاكِمِal-Hakimمِنْfromحَدِيثِthe narrationأَبِيAbuأُمَامَةَUmamaعَنْaboutالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetpeace be upon himأَنَّهُthat heقَالَsaid::اسْمُthe nameاللَّهِof Allahالْأَعْظَمِthe Greatestفِيinثَلاثٍthreeسُورٍchaptersمِنَfromالْقُرْآنِthe Qur'an::الْبَقَرَةِAl-Baqarahوَآلِand AalعِمْرَانَImranوَطَهَand Ta-Ha.

And in the authentic narration of al-Hakim from Abu Umama about the Prophet (peace be upon him), he said: "The greatest name of Allah is in three chapters of the Qur'an: Al-Baqarah, Aal-Imran, and Ta-Ha."

قَالَHe saidالْقَاسِمُAl-Qasim::فَالْتَمَسْتُهَاSo I sought it.فَإِذَاAnd whenهِيَit isآيَةٌan ayah﴿("الْحَيُّThe LivingالْقَيُّومُThe Sustainerلَاnotتَأْخُذُهُseizes Himسِنَةٌdrowsinessوَلَاand norنَوْمٌsleep.”)

Al-Qasim said: "So I sought it, and (it is) the ayah: 'The Living, The Sustainer. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him, nor sleep.'"

وَفِيAnd inجَامِعِJamiالتِّرْمِذِيat-Tirmidhiوَصَحِيحِand the authenticالْحَاكِمِal-Hakimمِنَfromحَدِيثِthe narrationسَعِيدٍSaadبْنِbinأَبِيAbuوَقَّاصٍWaqasعَنْaboutالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetpeace be upon himقَالَhe said::دَعْوَةَthe supplicationذِيof Dhul-Nunإِذْwhenدَعَاhe called uponوَهُوَand he wasفِيinبَطْنِthe bellyالْحُوتِof the whale::لَاThere is noإِلَهَdeityإِلَّاexceptأَنتَYou::>سُبْحَانَكَGlory be to You.إِنِّيIndeed, Iكُنتُwasمِنَfromالظَّالِمِينَthe wrongdoers.)

And in Jami at-Tirmidhi and the authentic al-Hakim from the narration of Saad bin Abu Waqas about the Prophet (peace be upon him), he said: "The supplication of Dhul-Nun when he called upon (Allah) while in the belly of the whale: 'There is no deity except You; Glory be to You. Indeed, I was from the wrongdoers.'"

إِنَّهُIndeed itلَمdid notيَدْعُinvokeبِهَاwith itمُسْلِمٌa Muslimفِيinشَيْءٍanythingقَطُّat allإِلَّاexceptاسْتَجَابَthat Allah answeredلَهُhim.

Indeed, a Muslim did not invoke with it in anything at all except that Allah answered him.

قَالَHe saidالتِّرْمِذِيُّat-Tirmidhi::أَنَسٌAnas.,,

At-Tirmidhi said: "Anas."

مَاWhatبَيْنَis betweenالْحَاصِرَتَيْنِthe two bracketsزِيَادَةٌis an additionمِنْfromالْحَدِيثِthe narrationالْمَذْكُورَmentioned.

What is between the two brackets is an addition from the mentioned narration.

بِرَقَمِwith the number(٣٥٢٤)(3524).وَقَالَAnd he saidوَهَذَاthisحَدِيثٌnarrationغَرِيبٌstrange.قُلْتُI saidتَفَرَّدَit was uniqueبِهِby itيَزِيدُYazidالرَّقَاشِيُّal-RaqashiعَنْfromقَتَادَةَQatada.وَرَوَاهُAnd it was narratedإِبْرَاهِيمُIbrahimبْنِbinطَهْمَانَTahmanعَنْaboutالْحَجَّاجِal-Hajjajبْنِbinالْحَجَّاجِal-HajjajعَنْaboutأَنَسٍAnasقَالَhe said::كَانَwasالنَّبِيُّthe Prophetيَدْعُوhe would invoke::>يَاOحَيٍّLivingيَاOقَيُّومَSustainer.”أَخْرَجَهُIt was reportedالطَّبَرَانِيُّal-Tabaraniفِيinالدُّعَاءِthe supplication.وَظَاهِرُAnd the apparentسَنَدِهِchainلَاnoبَأْسَproblemبِهِin it.

With the number (3524). And he said: "This narration is strange. I said it was unique by Yazid al-Raqashi from Qatada. And it was narrated by Ibrahim bin Tahman from al-Hajjaj bin al-Hajjaj from Anas, he said: 'The Prophet would invoke: O Living, O Sustainer.' It was reported by al-Tabarani in the supplication. And the apparent chain in it is fine.

كَانَIt wasفِيinفَthenحَزْبِهِhis party،,فَغَيَّرَand it was changedإِلَىtoكَرْبَتِهِhis distress.

It was in then his party, and it was changed to his distress.

وَفِيAnd inالصَّحِيحِthe authenticالْحَاكِمِal-Hakim١1//٦٨٤684.(١٨٦١)(1861).وَأَخْرَجَهُAnd it was reportedابْنُby IbnمَاجَهُMajah(٣٨٥٦)(3856) andالطَّبَرَانِيُّal-Tabaraniفِيinالْكَبِيرِthe large(۲۸۲/٨)(282/8) andتَمَامٌTamamفِيinفَوَائِدِهِits benefits(١٥٦٨)(1568) -الرَّوْضُthe gardensالْبَسَّامِof al-Basamiوَغَيْرُهُمْand othersمِنْfromطَرِيقِthe wayالْقَاسِمِAl-QasimأَبِيAbuعَبْدِالرَّحْمَانِAbdul-RahmanعَنْaboutأَبِيAbuأُمَامَةَUmamaفَذَكَرَهُand he mentioned it.

And in the authentic al-Hakim (1/684) (1861). And it was reported by Ibn Majah (3856) and al-Tabarani in al-Kabir (282/8) and Tamam in its benefits (1568) - the gardens of al-Basami and others from the way of Al-Qasim Abu Abdul-Rahman from Abu Umama, and he mentioned it.

وَفِيAnd inرِوَايَةِthe narrationالْقَاسِمِof al-QasimهَذَاthisعَنْaboutأَبِيAbuأُمَامَةَUmamaكَلَامٌthere is speech.انْظُرْLookتَهْذِيبِat the revision ofالْكَمَالِAl-Kamal(٢٣/(23/٣٨٦386-٣٨٧)387).

And in the narration of Al-Qasim about Abu Umama, there is speech. Look at the revision of Al-Kamal (23/386-387).

أَنَّهُThat itلَمdid notيَرِدcomeفِيinس.the book.
