أَهْلٌPeopleكَأَنَّمَاlike one whoلَاdoes notيَخْلُقُcreate
People are like those who do not create.
وَكَمَاAnd asقَالَhe said::أَمْOrخُلِقُواwere createdمِنْfromغَيْرِwithoutشَيْءٍthingأَمْOrهُمْtheyالْخَالِقُونَCreators
Or were they created from nothing, or are they the creators?
وَهَذَاAnd thisفِيis inكِتَابِthe bookاللَّهِof Godكَثِيرٍmany
And this is mentioned many times in the book of God.
وَأَنَّAnd thatاللَّهَGodوَفَّقَhas granted successالْمُؤْمِنِينَto the believersلِطَاعَتِهِto His obedienceوَلُطْفًاand kindnessبِهِمْto themوَنَظَرَand lookedإِلَيْهِمْupon themوَهَدَاهُمْand guided themوَأَضَلَّand misledالْكَافِرِينَthe disbelievers
And that God has granted success to the believers, shown them kindness, looked upon them, and guided them, while He has misled the disbelievers.
وَلَمْAnd did notيَهْدِهِمْguide themوَلَمْand did notيُلْطِفْshow kindnessبِهِمْto themبِالْآيَاتِthrough the signsكَمَاasزَعَمَتْclaimedالزَّيْغُof the deviationوَالطُّغْيَانِand tyranny
And He did not guide them nor show them kindness through the signs, as claimed by the deviants and tyrants.
وَلَوْAnd ifلَطَفَHe had shown kindnessبِهِمْto themوَأَصْحَابِهِمْand their companionsلَكَانُواthey would have beenصَالِحِينَrighteousوَلَوْAnd ifهَدَاهُمْHe had guided themلَكَانُواthey would have beenمُهْتَدِينَguided
And if He had shown kindness to them and their companions, they would have been righteous, and if He had guided them, they would have been guided.
وَأَنَّAnd thatاللَّهَGodيَقْدِرُhas the powerأَنْtoيُصْلِحَmake righteousالْكَافِرِينَthe disbelieversوَيُلْطِفَand show kindnessبِهِمْto themحَتَّىuntilيَكُونُواthey areمُؤْمِنِينَbelievers
And that God has the power to make the disbelievers righteous and show kindness to them until they become believers.
وَلَكِنَّهُBut Heأَرَادَwilledأَنْthatيَكُونُواthey areكَافِرِينَdisbelieversكَماasعَلِمَHe knewوَخَذَلَهُمْand forsook themوَطَبَعَand sealedعَلَىuponقُلُوبِهِمْtheir hearts
But He willed for them to remain disbelievers as He knew and forsook them, sealing their hearts.
وَأَنَّAnd thatالْخَيْرَgoodnessوَالشَّرَّand evilبِقَضَاءِis by the decreeاللَّهِof Godوَقَدَرِهِand predestination
And that goodness and evil is by the decree of God and His predestination.
وَأَنَاAnd Iنُؤْمِنُwe believeبِقَضَاءِin the decreeاللَّهِof Godوَقَدَرِهand His predestinationوَخَيْرِهِand His goodnessوَشَرِّهِand His evilحَلْوَهُsweetوَمُرَّهُand bitter
And I believe in the decree of God, His predestination, His goodness and evil, sweet and bitter.
وَنَعْلَمُand we knowأَنَّthatمَاwhatأَخْطَأْنَاwe missedلَمْdid notيَكُنbeلِيُصِيبَنَاto afflict usوَأَنَّand thatمَاwhatأَصَابَنَاafflicted usلَمْdid notيُخْطِئْنَاmiss us
And we know that what we missed was not to afflict us and what has afflicted us was not to miss us.
وَأَنَّAnd thatالْعِبَادَthe servantsلَاdo notيَمْلِكُونَhave controlلِأَنْفُسِهِمْfor themselvesضَرًّاharmوَلَاnorنَفْعًاbenefitإِلَّاexceptبِاللَّهِby GodكَمَاasقَالَHe saidعَزَّ وَجَلَّExalted and Majestic
And that the servants do not possess harm or benefit for themselves except by God, as He, Exalted and Majestic, said.
وَنَلْجَئُAnd we invokeأُمُورَنَاour mattersإِلَىtoاللَّهِGodوَنُثَبِّتُand we affirmالْحَاجَةَthe needوَالْفَقْرَand povertyفِيinكُلِّeveryوَقْتٍtime
And we invoke our matters to God and affirm the need and poverty in every time.
وَنَقُولُAnd we sayإِنَّthatكَلَامَthe speechاللَّهِof Godغَيْرُnotمَخْلُوقٌcreated
And we say that the speech of God is not created.
وَأَنَّAnd thatمَنْwhoeverقَالَsaysبِخَلْقِof creationالْقُرْآنَthe Quranفَهُوَis heكَافِرٌdisbelieverوَنَدِينَand we holdبِأَنَّthatاللَّهَGodتَعَالَىthe Exaltedيُرَىis seenفِيinالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafterبِالْأَبْصَارِby the eyesكَمَاasيَرَاهُHe is seenالْقَمَرُthe moonلَيْلَةَthe nightالْبَدْرِthe full moon
And that whoever says that the Quran is created is a disbeliever and we hold that God, the Exalted, is seen in the Hereafter with the eyes, as the moon is seen on the night of the full moon.
وَيَرَاهُAnd He is seenالْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersكَماasجَاءَتْcameالرِّوَايَاتُthe narrationsعَنْaboutرَسُولِthe Messengerاللَّهِof GodوَنَقُولُAnd we sayإِنَّthatالْكَافِرِينَthe disbelieversمَحْجُوبُونَare veiledعَنْهُfrom HimإِذَاwhenرَآهُHe is seenالْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersفِيinالْجَنَّةِParadiseكَماasقَالَsaidعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majestic
And He is seen by the believers as narrated about the Messenger of God, and we say that the disbelievers are veiled from Him when the believers see Him in Paradise, as the Exalted said.
كَماAsقَالَHe saidعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majestic::كَلَّاNoإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyعَنْfromرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordيَوْمَئِذٍon that day
As the Exalted and Majestic said: 'Indeed, they are veiled from their Lord that day.'
