عَلَىonعَمَّتْهَاher auntوَلَاand notخَالَهَاher maternal uncleوَإِذَاand ifكَانَwasالرَّجْمُstoningوَمَاand whatذَكَرْنَاهُwe mentionedسُنَّةًof the Sunnah
On her aunt and not her maternal uncle. And if stoning and what we mentioned are of the Sunnah.
عِندَatالمُعْتَزِلَةِthe Mu'tazilitesكَانَتْwasالرُّؤْيَةُthe visionأَوْلَىmore preferableأَنْthatتَكُونَbeسُنَّةًa Sunnahلِكَثْرَةِdue to the abundance ofرُوَاتِهَاits narrators
At the Mu'tazilites, the vision was more preferable to be a Sunnah due to the abundance of its narrators.
وَنَفَاتُهَاand its deniersيَرْوِيهَاnarrates itخَلَفٌKhalafعَنْaboutالْحَدِيثِthe Hadithأَلَاthat notحُجَّةًevidenceفِيْهِin itلِأَنَّهُbecause heإنَّمَاonlyسَأَلَaskedالنَّبِيَّthe Prophetﷺpeace be upon himعَنْaboutرُؤْيَةِthe visionاللَّهِAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majesticفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldوَقَالَand he saidلَهُto himهَلْdidرَأَيْتَyou seeرَبَّكَyour Lordفَقَالَso he saidنُورٌlightأَنَّىhowأَرَاهُcan I see Himلِأَنَّbecauseالْعَيْنَthe eyeلَاnotتُدْرِكُperceiveفِيinالدُّنْيَاthis worldالْأَنْوَارَthe lightsالْمَخْلُوقَةُthe createdعَلَىuponحَقَائِقَهَاits realitiesلِأَنَّbecauseالْإِنْسَانَa humanلَوْifحَدَقَgazeبِنَظْرَةٍwith a lookإِلَىtoعَيْنِthe eyeالشَّمْسِthe sunفَأَدَامَand continuedالنَّظَرَto lookإِلَىtoعَيْنِهَاits eyeلَذَهَبَhe would loseأَكْثَرَmostنورٍlightبَصَرِهِof his sightفَإِذَاso ifكَانَwasاللَّهُAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majesticحَكَمَjudgedفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldبِأَنْthatلَا تَقُومُdoes not sufficeالْعَيْنُthe eyeبِالنَّظَرِwith visionإِلَىtoعَيْنِ الشَّمْسِthe sun's eyeفَأَحْرَىso more deservingأَنْthatلَا تَثْبُتُdoes not remainالْبَصَرُsightلِلنَّظَرِto seeإِلَىtoاللَّهِAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majesticفِيinالدُّنْيَاthis worldإِلَّاexceptأَنْthatيُقَوِّيَهُstrengthening himاللَّهُAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majestic
And because Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, judged in this world that the eye cannot view the sun's eye, so more deserving is that the sight does not remain for viewing Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, in this world except if Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, strengthens him.
فَرُؤْيَةُSo the visionاللَّهِof AllahسُبْحَانَهُGlory be to Himفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldقَدْhasاخْتَلَفَdifferedفِيهَاin itوَقَدْand hasرُوِيَnarratedعَنْfromأَصْحَابِthe companionsرَسُولِof the Messengerاللَّهِof Allahلَهُto himأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majesticتُرَىis seenالْعُيُونُthe eyesفِيinالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafter
So the vision of Allah, Glory be to Him, in this world has differed, and it has been narrated from the companions of Allah’s Messenger that Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, is seen by the eyes in the Hereafter.
وَمَاand whatرُوِيَwas narratedعَنْfromأَحَدٍanyoneمِنْهُمْamong themأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Majesticلَاnotتُرَىis seenالْعُيُونُthe eyesفِيinالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafter
And what was narrated from anyone among them that Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, is not seen by the eyes in the Hereafter.
فَلَمَّاSo whenكَانُواthey wereعَلَىuponهَذَاthisمُجْتَمِعِينَunitedوَبِهِand on thisقَالِينَsayingوَإِنْand ifكَانُواthey wereفِيinرُؤْيَتِهِhis visionفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldمُخْتَلِفِينَdifferentثَبَتَتِit was establishedالرُّؤْيَةُthe visionفِيinالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafter
So when they were united on this and saying so, and if they were different in His vision in this world, the vision in the Hereafter was established.
وَإِنْAnd ifكَانَتْwasفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldمُخْتَلِفًاdifferingفِيهَاin itوَنَحْنُand weإِنَّمَاonly(١)(1)هُنَاhereنَقْصٌmissingفِيinالْعِبَارَةِthe statementفَلْيُحَرَّرْSo let it be clarified١٢12
And if there were differing in this world, and we only here has missing in the statement, let it be clarified 12.
