مِنَfromحَضَرَattendedالشَّجَرَةِthe treeمِنَfromالْجِنِّthe jinnوَالإِنْسِand humansقَدْhasسَمِعُواheardالْكَلَامَthe speechمِنَfromذَلِكَthatالْمَكَانِthe placeوَكَانَand wasسَبِيلٌthe wayمُوسَىMosesوَغَيْرُهُand othersفِيinذَلِكَthatسَوَاءٌthe sameفِيinأَنَّهُthat heلَيْسَis notكَلَامٌspeechاللَّهِGodلَهُto himمِنَfromوَرَاءَbehindحِجَابٍveil
Those who attended the tree from the jinn and humans have heard the speech from that place.
(جَوَابٌ)(Answer)ثُمَّThenيُقَالُ لَهُمْit is said to themإِذَاIfزَعَمْتُمْyou claimedأَنْthatمَعْنَىthe meaningأَنَّهُthat heخَلَقَcreatedأَنْthatاللَّهَGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Mighty and ExaltedكَلَّمَspokeمُوسَىMosesكَلَامًاa speechكَلَّمَهُhe spoke to himبِهِwith itوَقَدْand hasخَلَقَcreatedاللَّهُGodعِندَكُمْin your sightفِيinالذِّرَاعِthe armكَلَامًاa speechلِأَنَّbecauseالذِّرَاعَthe armقَالَتْsaidلِرَسُولِto the MessengerاللَّهِGodلَاdo notتَأْكُلْنِيeat meفَإِنِّيfor indeed Iمَسْمُومَةٌpoisoned
(Answer) Then it is said to them, if you claim that it means that He created that God, the Mighty and Exalted, spoke to Moses with a speech that He spoke to him, and that God created in your sight in the arm a speech because the arm said to the Messenger of God, 'Do not eat me, for I am poisoned.'
فَلْزِمَكُمْThus, it is incumbent upon youأَنْthatذَلِكَthatالْكَلَامَthe speechالَّذِيwhichسَمِعَheardالنَّبِيُّthe Prophetعَلَيْهِupon himالسَّلَامُpeaceكَلَامُthe speechاللَّهِGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Mighty and Exalted
Thus, it is obligatory for you that the speech that the Prophet, peace be upon him, heard is the speech of God, the Mighty and Exalted.
فَإِنَّThenاسْتَحَالَit is impossibleأَنْthatيَكُونَit isاللَّهُGodتَكَلَّمَspokeبِذَلِكَwith thatالْكَلَامَthe speechالْمَخْلُوقِthe createdفَمَاthen whatأَنْكَرْتُمْyou deniedمِنْfromأَنَّهُthat heمُسْتَحِيلٌimpossibleأَنْthatيَخْلُقَHe createsاللَّهُGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Mighty and ExaltedكَلَامَهُHis speechفِيinشَجَرَةٍa treeلِأَنَّbecauseكَلَامَspeechالْمَخْلُوقِthe createdلَاdoes notيَكُونُbeكَلَامًاas speechفَإِنَّIfكَانَwasكَلَامُthe speechاللَّهِGodمُتَكَلِّمًاspeakingبِالْكَلَامِwith the speechالَّذِيthatخَلَقَcreatedفِيinالذِّرَاعِthe armفَإِنَّifأَجَابُواthey answeredإِلَىtoذَلِكَthatقِيلَ لَهُمْit was said to them**فَاللَّهُSo Godعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Mighty and Exaltedعَلَىuponقَوْلِكُمْyour sayingهُوَisالْقَائِلُthe speakerلَا تَأْكُلْنِيDo not eat meفَإِنِّيfor indeed IمَسْمُومَةٌpoisonedتَعَالَىexaltedاللَّهُGodعَنْaboveقَوْلِكُمْyour sayingوَافْتِرَائِكُمْand your claimعَلَيْهِagainst Himعُلُوًّاexaltedكَبِيرًاgreatly
If it is impossible for God to speak that created speech, then what do you deny of the impossibility that God, the Mighty and Exalted, creates His speech in a tree, because the speech of the created does not become speech. If the speech of God is speaking with the created speech in the arm, if they answered to that, it was said to them, '* So God, the Mighty and Exalted, upon your saying is the speaker, 'Do not eat me, for I am poisoned.' Exalted is God above your saying and your claim against Him greatly.
وَإِنْAnd ifقَالُواthey sayلَاnotيَجُوزُit is permissibleأَنْthatيَكُونَit isكَلَامُspeechاللَّهِGodمَخْلُوقًاcreatedفِيinذِرَاعٍthe armقِيلَ لَهُمْit was said to themوَلِذَلِكَand thereforeلَاnotيَجُوزُit is permissibleأَنْthatيَكُونَit isكَلَامٌthe speechاللَّهِGodمَخْلُوقًاcreatedفِيinشَجَرَةٍa tree
And if they say that it is impermissible for the speech of God to be created in an arm, it was said to them, and therefore, it is impermissible for the speech of God to be created in a tree.
(جَوَابٌ)(Answer)ثُمَّThenيَسْأَلُونَthey will askعَنِaboutالْكَلَامَthe speechالَّذِيwhichأَنطَقَHe made to speakاللَّهُGodبِهِwith itالذِّئْبَthe wolfلَمَّاwhenأَخْبَرَHe informedعَنْaboutنَبُوَّةِthe prophecyالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetفَيُقَالُ لَهُمْit is said to themإِذَاIfكَانَit wasاللَّهُGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Mighty and Exaltedيَتَكَلَّمُspeaksبِكَلاَمٍwith speechيَخْلُقُهُHe createsفِيinغَيْرِهِothersفَمَاthen whatأَنْكَرْتُمْyou deniedأَنْthatيَكُونَit isكَلَامًاspeech
(Answer) Then they will ask about the speech that God made the wolf speak when He informed about the prophecy of the Prophet, and it is said to them, 'If God, the Mighty and Exalted, speaks with a speech that He creates in others, then what do you deny, that it is not speech.'
