فَائدَةٌBenefit))أَخْرَجَReportedالدَّارِمِيّAl-DarimiعَنْfromعَبْدِAbdاللَّهِAllahبْنِbinعُمَرَUmarأَنْthatالنَّبِيِّthe Prophet(peace be upon him)قَالَsaid::الْقُرْآنَThe Quranأَحَبُّis more belovedإِلَىtoاللَّهِAllahمِنَthanالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَandالْأَرْضِthe earthوَمَنْand whoeverفِيهِنَّis in them.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: The Quran is more beloved to Allah than the heavens, the earth, and those who are in them.

كَمَاLikewiseفِيinالْبَحْرِthe seaالرَّائِقِthe clearوَقَالَAnd he saidعَلِيٌّAliرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُmay Allah be pleased with him::مَنْwhoeverقَرَأَrecitesالْقُرْآنَthe Quranوَandهُوَhe isقَائِمٌstandingفِيinالصَّلَاةِthe prayerكَانَhe hasلَهُfor himبِكُلِّfor everyحَرْفٍletterمِائَةًone hundredحَسَنَةًgood deeds

And Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Whoever recites the Quran while standing in prayer, he has for every letter one hundred good deeds.

وَمَنْAnd whoeverقَرَأَهُrecites itوَهُوَwhile he isجَالِسٌsittingفِيinالصَّلَاةِthe prayerكَانَhe hasلَهُfor himبِكُلِّfor everyحَرْفٍletterخَمْسُونَfiftyحَسَنَةًgood deeds

And whoever recites it while sitting in prayer, he has for every letter fifty good deeds.

وَمَنْAnd whoeverقَرَأَهُrecites itفِيinغَيْرِother thanالصَّلَاةِthe prayerوَهُوَwhile he isعَلَىin a state ofوَضُوءٍablutionفَthenخَمْسٌtwenty fiveوَعِشْرُونَand twentyحَسَنَةًgood deeds

And whoever recites it outside of prayer while in a state of ablution, then he has twenty-five good deeds.

وَمَنْAnd whoeverقَرَأَهُrecites itغَيْرَother thanوَضُوءٍablutionفَعَشَرٌthen tenحَسَنَاتٌgood deedsوَإِنْAnd ifكَانَthere isالْقِيَامُstanding upبِاللَّيْلِat nightفَهُوَit isأَفْضَلُbetterلَأَنَّهُbecause it isأَفْرَغُmore focusedلِلْقُلُوبِfor the heartsكَمَاasفِيinشَرَحِthe explanationالشَّرِيعَةِthe Shariaالإِسْلَامِof Islamلِلْعَلَامَةِof the scholarالسَّيِّدِthe SayyidعَلِيٍّAliإِذَاWhenعَلِمْتَyou knowمَاwhatذُكِرَhas been mentionedفَيَجِبُthen it is obligatoryتَعْظِيمُto glorifyالْقُرْآنَthe QuranوَمِنْAnd fromتَعْظِيمِهِits glorificationقِرَاءَتِهِits recitationبِالتَّجْوِيدِwith proper pronunciationوَالْعَمَلِand actingبِمَاby whatفِيهِis in it.وَبِاللَّهِAnd with Allah's helpالتَّوْفِيقِsuccess

And if you know what has been mentioned, then it is obligatory to glorify the Quran, and from its glorification is its recitation with proper pronunciation and acting by what is in it. And with Allah's help is success.

فَصْلٌSection))مَرَاتِبُRanksالخُلَفَاءَof the caliphsالأَرْبَعَةُthe fourقَالَsaidالْمُصَنِّفُthe compilerأَبُوAbuحَنِيفَةَHanifaرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُmay Allah be pleased with him::(نَقْرَ(We acknowledgeأَنْthatأَفْضَلُthe bestهَذِهِof thisالأُمَّةَnationبَعْدَafterنَبِيِّنَاour ProphetمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadصَلَّىpeace be upon himاللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَmay Allah bless him and grant him peaceأَبُوAbuبَكْرٍBakrالصِّدِّيقِthe truthfulثُمَّthenعُمَرَUmarثُمَّthenعُثْمَانَUthmanثُمَّthenعَلِيٌّAliرِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَmay Allah be pleased with them all..لِقَوْلِهِAs His statementتَعَالَى:the Most High:«وَالسَّابِقُونَAnd the foremostالسَّابِقُونَThose who were earlyأُولَـئِكَThose areالمُقَرَّبُونَthe ones brought nearفِيinفَin

The compiler Abu Hanifa, may Allah be pleased with him, said: We acknowledge that the best of this nation after our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, then Umar, then Uthman, then Ali, may Allah be pleased with them all. As His statement, The Most High: 'And the foremost, those are the ones brought near.'
