I say that all the people of the Sunnah and the congregation unanimously agree that the best of the companions is Abu Bakr, which is indicated by the fact that Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, was a speaker on the pulpit of Kufa. Muhammad ibn Al-Hanafiyyah said, 'Who is the best of this nation after the Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Abu Bakr.' He said, 'Then who?' He said, 'Umar.' He said, 'Then who?' He said, 'Uthman.' Then Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, was silent. He said, 'If I wished, I would inform you of the fourth.' Muhammad ibn Al-Hanafiyyah said, 'You are the fourth.' Ali said, 'Your father is a man of the Muslims.' Ali was silent because he did not want to praise himself. Thus, it is in the ocean of speech.

The author Abu Hanifah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, 'We acknowledge that the servant, with his actions, acknowledgment, and knowledge, is created. So when the doer is created, then his actions are more appropriate to be created. I say that the people of the Sunnah say that the actions of the servants and all the animals are created by Allah, The Most High, and there is no creator for them other than Him.'

Then know that there are three sects regarding actions: the doctrine of the Jabariyyah, the doctrine of the Qadariyyah, and the doctrine of the people of Hadith and others.
