حَسَنَاتِgood deedsفَطَرَحَand the eliminationالسَّيِّئَاتِof the bad deedsفِيْمَاamongبَيْنَtheالْخُصُومِrivalsبِالْحَسَنَاتِwith good deedsيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof resurrection
Good deeds shall counter the bad deeds among the rivals on the Day of Resurrection.
حَقٌّIt is a rightفَإِنْifلَمْnotتَكُنْthere wereلَهُمْfor themحَسَنَاتٌgood deedsفَطَرَحَthen the eliminationالسَّيِّئَاتِof the bad deedsعَلَيْهِمْupon themحَقٌّis a rightجَائِزٌpermissible
If they do not have good deeds, then the elimination of the bad deeds upon them is permissible.
وَقَالَAnd he saidشَارِحُهُthe commentatorقَالَsaidرَسُولُthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allah::مَنْWhoeverكَانَتْhasلَهُfor himمَظْلِمَةٌa grievanceلِأَخِيهِfrom his brotherمِنْofعِرْضِهِhis honorأَوْorشَيْءٍsomethingفَلْيَتَحَلَّلْهُlet him free himselfمِنْهُfrom itالْيَوْمَtodayقَبْلَbeforeأَنْtaking
And he said the commentator, the Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever has a grievance from his brother, whether from his honor or something, let him free himself from it today before taking.'
أَنْThatلَاthere is noيَكُونَthere beدِينَارٌdinarوَلَاnorدرهمٌdirhamإِنْ كَانَif there isلَهُfor himعَمَلٌa good deedصَالِحٌrighteousمِنْهُof itبِقَدْرِin proportion toمَظْلَمَتِهِhis grievanceوَإِنْand ifلَمْnotتَكُنْthere beلَهُfor himحَسَنَاتٌgood deedsأَخَذَhe takesمِنْfromسَيِّئَاتِهthe bad deedsصَاحِبِهِof his friendفَحَمَلَand he carriesعَلَيْهِupon him
That there is no dinar or dirham; if there is a good deed for him in proportion to his grievance, and if he has no good deeds, he takes from the bad deeds of his friend and carries it upon him.
وَقَالَAnd he saidرَسُولُthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allah,,لَاdo you notأَتَدْرُونَknowمَنْwho isالْمُفْلِسُthe bankrupt،,الْمُفْلِسُthe bankruptمِنْofأُمَّتِيmy nationمَنْwhoيَأْتِيcomesيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof resurrection::بِصَلَاةٍwith prayerوَصِيَامٍand fastingوَزَكَاةٍand zakahوَيَأْتِيand he comesقَدْhavingشَتَمَinsultedهَذَاthis oneوَقَذَفَand slanderedهَذَاthis oneوَأَكَلَand consumedمَالَthe wealthهَذَاthis oneوَسَفَكَand spilledدَمَbloodهَذَاthis oneفَيُعْطَىthen he will be givenهَذَاthis oneمِنْfromحَسَنَاتِهِhis good deedsوَهَذَاand this oneمِنْfromحَسَنَاتِهِhis good deedsفَإِنْthen ifفَنِيَتْthey are finishedقَبْلَbeforeأَنْthatيُقْضَىit is settledمَاwhatعَلَيْهِis upon himأَخَذَhe takesمِنْfromخَطَايَاهُمْtheir sinsفَطُرِحَتْand thus he will be afflictedعَلَيْهِupon himثُمَّthenطُرِحَhe will be thrownفِيinالنَّارِthe fire
And the Messenger of Allah said, 'Do you not know who the bankrupt is? The bankrupt among my nation is the one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with prayer, fasting, and zakah; and he comes having insulted this one, slandered that one, consumed the wealth of this one, and spilled the blood of that one. Then he will be given from this one's good deeds and from that one's good deeds; then, if they are finished before it is settled what is upon him, he will take from their sins and will thus be afflicted upon him, then he will be thrown into the fire.'
اِنْتَهَىThe end**رَوَىIt was narratedأَنَّهُthat heيُؤْخَذُwill be takenيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof resurrectionبِالْدَّائِقِby the due measureثَوَابٍrewardسَبْعِمِئَةٍseven hundredصَلَاةٍprayersبِالْجَمَاعَةِin congregationكَمَاasفِيinشَرْحٍthe explanationمُنَىof the wishالْمُصَلِّينَof the praying menوَالْبَحْرِand the seaالرَّائِقِthe flowingوَغَيْرِهُمَاand others,,وَالْدَّائِقِand the measureوَزْنٍweightخَمْسَةٍfiveشَعِيرَاتٍhairsكَمَاasقَالَهُstatedالإِخْتَرِيّal-Ikhtriوَقِيلَand it is saidوَزْنٍthe weightسُدُسٍone-sixthدِرْهَمٍof a dirhamوَالْقِيْرَاطِand the caratنِصْفٍone halfدَائِقٍof the measure
It was narrated that he will be taken on the Day of Resurrection by the weight of seven hundred prayers in congregation, as stated in the explanation of the wish of the praying men and the flowing sea, and others. And the measure is the weight of five hairs, as stated by al-Ikhtri; and it is said to be the weight of one-sixth of a dirham, and the carat is half a measure.
فَائِدَةًBenefit))مَنْWhoever hasعَلَيْهِon himدُيُونٌdebtsوَمَظَالِمُand grievancesجَهِلَignorantأَرْبَابُهَاand their ownersوَيَئِسَand despairمِنْofمَعْرِفَتِهِمacknowledging themمُخْلَصٌHe is absolvedعَنْهُfrom himدُيُونٌdebtsمَظَالِمٌand grievances
Benefit: Whoever has debts and grievances for which their owners are unknown and despairs of acknowledging them, he is absolved of debts and grievances.
