The ones who are left behind from the believers, those who are not in difficulty, and those who strive in the path of Allah with their wealth and their souls, Allah has preferred the strivers with their wealth and their souls over the ones who are left behind, a degree.

فَٱسْتَثْنَىSo He made an exceptionأُولِيfor those who areٱلضَّرَرَin difficultyوَفِيAnd inٱلصَّحِيحَيْنِthe two authentic booksعَنْfromالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetأَنَّهُthat heقَالَsaidمَنْwhoeverدَعَاcallsإِلَىtoهُدًىguidanceكَانَhe will haveلَهُfor himمِنَfromٱلْأَجْرِthe rewardمِثْلَlikeأَجُورٍthe rewardsمِنْof those whoٱتَّبَعُوهُfollow himمِنْwithoutغَيْرِanyأَنْthatيَنْقُصَit diminishesمِنْfromأَجْوَرِهِمْtheir rewardsشَيْئًاanythingوَمَنْAnd whoeverدَعَاcallsإِلَىtoضَلَالَةٍmisguidanceكَانَhe will haveعَلَيْهِupon himمِنَfromٱلْوِزْرِthe burdenمِثْلَlikeأَوْزَارٍthe burdensمِنْof those whoٱتَّبَعُوهُfollow himمِنْwithoutغَيْرِanyأَنْthatيَنْقُصَit diminishesمِنْfromأَوْزَارِهِمْtheir burdensشَيْئًاanything

So He made an exception for those who are in difficulty. And in the two authentic books, it is narrated from the Prophet that he said: Whoever calls to guidance will have for him a reward like the rewards of those who follow him, without diminishing from their rewards anything, and whoever calls to misguidance will have upon him a burden like the burdens of those who follow him, without diminishing from their burdens anything.

And in the hadith of Abu Kabsha the Anmari: they are equal in reward, and they are equal in burden.

Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and confirmed as authentic: "Indeed, the world is for four people: a servant whom Allah has given knowledge and wealth, so he fears his Lord with that wealth, maintains his kinship through it, and teaches Allah's rights in it; that one is in the best of ranks. Another servant whom Allah has provided knowledge but not wealth, so he is sincere in intention, saying: 'If I had wealth, I would do the deeds of so-and-so'; so he is rewarded equally by his intention. And a servant whom Allah has provided wealth but not knowledge, he worsens in his wealth without knowledge, does not fear his Lord in it, does not maintain his kinship through it, nor does he know Allah's rights in it; that one is in the worst of ranks. And a servant whom Allah has provided neither wealth nor knowledge; he says: 'If I had wealth, I would do the deeds of so-and-so'; so their burden is equal by intention.

And the wording of Ibn Majah: 'This Ummah is like four people: A man whom Allah has given wealth and knowledge, so he works with his knowledge in his wealth, spending it on its right. And a man whom Allah has given knowledge but not wealth, so he says: 'If I had wealth, I would do like the one who works.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'They are both equal in reward. And a man whom Allah has given wealth but not knowledge, he squanders his wealth, spending it in other than its right. And a man whom Allah has given neither knowledge nor wealth, he says: 'If I had wealth, I would do like the one who works'; they are both equal in burden.'
