تَقْسِيمٌdivisionالأَلْفَاظُthe wordsإِلَىintoحَقيقةٌrealityوَمَجازٌand metaphorكَانَwasبَعْدَafterالْقُرُونِthe centuriesالثَّلاثَةِthe three

The division of words into reality and metaphor was after the three centuries.

إِنْكَارٌdenialطَائِفَةٌa groupمِنْofالعُلَمَاءِscholarsأَنْthatيَكُونَthere isفِيinاللُّغَةِthe languageمَجازٌmetaphorلَاnotفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quranوَلَاnorفِيinغَيْرِهِother than it.

A group of scholars denied that there is metaphor in the language, neither in the Quran nor in anything else.

تَعْلِيقٌCommentعَلَىonبَعْضِsomeالْمُنْتَسِبِينَaffiliatedلِلِإِمَامِto ImamالأَشْعَرِيِّAl-Ash'ari.

A comment on some who are affiliated with Imam Al-Ash'ari.

The proof that these languages are not received from Adam.

مَاWhatبُطْلانٌthe invalidationتَقْسِيمِof the divisionالْكَلَامِof speechإِلَىintoحَقيقةٍrealityوَمَجازٍand metaphor.

What is the invalidation of the division of speech into reality and metaphor?

يُسَمَّىIs calledكَلَامًاspeechفِيinالْكِتَابِthe bookوَالسُّنَّةِand the sunnahوَكَلَامِand speechالْعَرَبِof the Arabs.

It is called speech in the book and sunnah and the speech of the Arabs.

One of the famous examples for those who establish metaphor is 'and ask the village.'

الطَّرِيقُThe wayإِلَىtoمَعْرِفَةِknowledgeمَقَاصِدَthe objectivesالرَّسُولِof the Messengerبِكَلَامِهِin his words.

The way to know the objectives of the Messenger in his words.

خَطَأٌThe mistakeالْمُرْجِئَةُof the Murji’ahفِيinاسْمِthe nameالْإِيمَانِof faithحَيْثُwhereجَعَلُوهُthey made itحَقيقةًa realityفِيinمَجَرَّدِmereالتَّصْدِيقِbelief,, وَتَناوَلَهُand its involvementلِلْأَعْمَالِof actionsمَجازًاa metaphor.

The mistake of the Murji’ah in the name of faith, where they made it a reality in mere belief, and its involvement of actions as a metaphor.

عَدُولٌThe deviationالْمُرْجِئَةُof the Murji’ahفِيinتَفْسِيرِهِمtheir interpretationلِلْإِيمَانِof faithعَنْfromبَيَانِthe explanationالْكِتَابِof the Bookوَالسُّنَّةِand the Sunnahوَأَقْوَالِand statementsالسَّلَفِof the predecessors,, وَاعْتِمَادُهُمْand their relianceعَلَىonرَأْيِهِمtheir opinionوَعَلَىand onمَاwhatتَأَوَّلُوهُthey interpretedبِفَهْمِهِمby their understandingلِلُّغَةِof the language.

The deviation of the Murji’ah in their interpretation of faith from the explanation of the Book and Sunnah and the statements of the predecessors, and their reliance on their opinion and on what they interpreted by their understanding of the language.

الأَشْعَرِيُّAl-Ash'ariوَعَامَّةُand mostأَصْحَابِهِof his companionsنَصَرُواsupportedقَوْلَthe sayingجَهْمٍof Jahmفِيinالْإِيمَانِfaith,, مَعَwhileنَصَرَهُمْthey supportedلِلْمَشْهُورِthe famousعَنْfromأَهْلِthe peopleالسُّنَّةِof Sunnahمِنْthatأَنَّهُit isيُسْتَثْنَىexcludedفِيinالْإِيمَانِfaithوَسَبَبُand the reasonهَذَاfor thisالتَّنَاقُضِcontradiction.

Al-Ash'ari and most of his companions supported the saying of Jahm in faith, while they also supported the famous saying from the people of Sunnah that it is excluded in faith, and the reason for this contradiction.
