وَلِهَذَاAnd for thisقَالَhe saidفِيinآخِرِthe lastالْحَدِيثِhadith::ثُمَّThenيَرَىhe seesسَبِيلَهُhis pathإِمَّاeitherإِلَىtoالْجَنَّةِ،Paradise,إِمَّاorإِلَىtoالنَّارِ».the Fire."
And for this, he said in the last hadith: Then he sees his path, either to Paradise, or to the Fire."
هَذَاThisبَعْدَafterتَعْذِيبِهِhis tormentingخَمْسِينَfiftyأَلْفٍthousandسَنَةٍyearsمِمَّاof whatتَعْدُونَ،you count,ثُمَّthenيَدْخُلُhe entersالْجَنَّةَ.Paradise.
This is after his tormenting for fifty thousand years of what you count, then he enters Paradise.
وَقَدْAnd he hasقَالَsaidالنَّبِيُّthe Prophetﷺ:: ﷺ«الشِّرْكُ"Polytheismفِيinهَذِهِthisالْأُمَّةِnationأَخْفَىis more concealedمِنْthanدَبِيبِthe movementالنَّمْلِof ants.(1)(1)
And the Prophet ﷺ said: "Polytheism in this nation is more concealed than the movement of ants."
قَالَHe saidابْنُIbnعَبَّاسٍAbbasوَأَصْحَابُهُand his companions::كُفْرٌdisbeliefدُونَless thanكُفْرٍ،disbelief,وَظُلْمٌand injusticeدُونَless thanظُلْمٍ،injustice,وَفِسْقٌand immorality.وَكَذَلِكَAnd likewiseقَالَsaidأَهْلُthe people ofالسُّنَّةِSunnahكَأَحْمَدَlike AhmadبْنِbinحَنْبَلٍHanbalوَغَيْرِهِ،and others,كَمَاasسَنَذْكُرُهُwe will mention it--إِنْifشَاءَGod willsاللَّهُGod
He said: Disbelief less than disbelief, and injustice less than injustice, and immorality. And likewise, the people of Sunnah like Ahmad bin Hanbal and others said, as we will mention - if God wills.
وَقَدْAnd Allahقَالَthe Almighty saidاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَى:the Most High:﴿"اتَّخَذُواThey tookأَحْبَارَهُمْtheir scholarsوَرُهْبَانَهُمْand their monksأَرْبَابًاas lordsمِّنْbesidesدُونِAllah and the Messiahاللَّهِthe MessiahوَالْمَسِيحَJesusابْنَsonمَرْيَمَMary
And Allah the Most High said: "They took their scholars and their monks as lords beside Allah and the Messiah son of Mary.
وَمَاAnd they were notأَمَرُواcommandedإِلَّاexceptلِيَعْبُدُواto worshipإِلَهًاa single GodوَاحِدًاOneلَاthere is noإِلَهَGodإِلَّاexceptهُوَHeسُبْحَانَهُGlorified is Heعَمَّfrom whatيُشْرِكُونَthey associate."﴾"
And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no God but He. Glorified is He from what they associate."
[التوبة].[At-Tawbah].وَفِيAnd inحَدِيثِthe hadithعَدِيِّof 'AdiبْنِbinحَاتِمٍHatim--وَهُوَwhich isحَدِيثٌa hadithحَسَنٌgoodطَوِيلٌlongرَوَاهُnarrated byأَحْمَدَAhmadوَالْتُّرْمِذِيُّand Al-Tirmidhi(۳)(3)
And in the hadith of 'Adi bin Hatim - which is a good long hadith narrated by Ahmad, Al-Tirmidhi (3).
وَكَانَHe wasقَدْhadقَدِمَcome toعَلَىtoالنَّبِيِّ،the Prophet,وَهُوَand he wasنَصْرَانِيًّا،a Christian,فَسَمِعَهُso he heard himيَقْرَأُrecitingهَذِهِthisالْآيَةَ،verse,قَالَ:he said:فَقُلْتُSo I saidلَهُto himإِنَّاIndeed, we are notلَنَاworship them,نَعْبُدُهُمْ،worship them.قَالَ:He said: «أَلَيْسَ"Isn't itيُحَرِّمُونَthey prohibitمَاwhatأَحَلَّ اللَّهُAllah has permittedفَتُحَرِّمُونَهُ،and you prohibit it,وَيُحَلِّلُونَand they make lawfulمَاwhatحَرَّمَ اللَّهُAllah has forbiddenفَتَحِلُّونَهُ؟!»and you make it lawful?"
And he had come to the Prophet, and he was a Christian, so he heard him reciting this verse, he said: "So I said to him, 'Indeed, we do not worship them.' He said: 'Isn't it that they prohibit what Allah has permitted, and you prohibit it, and they make lawful what Allah has forbidden, and you make it lawful?"
قَالَ:He said:فَقُلْتُ:So I said:بَلَى.Yes.قَالَ:He said:فَتِلْكَThen thatعِبَادَتُهُمْ».is their worship."
So I said: Yes. He said: Then that is their worship."
وَكَذَلِكَAnd likewiseقَالَsaidأَبُوAbuالْبَخْتَرِيِّAl-Bakhtari::أَمَّاAs forإِنَّهُمْthey did notيُصَلُّواpray for themلَهُمْto themوَلَوْAnd if theyأَمَرُوهُمْordered themأَنْtoيَعْبُدُوهُمْworship themمِنْbesidesدُونِAllahمَاthey would notأَطَاعُوهُمْobey them.وَلَكِنْButأَمَرُوهُمْthey ordered themفَجَعَلُواand they madeحَلَالًاpermissibleمَاof Allahحَرَّمَهُ،forbidden,وَحَرَّامًاand the forbiddenمَاpermissible.فَأَطَاعُوهُمْ،So they obeyed them,فَكَانَتْand that wasتِلْكَthatالرُّبُوبِيَّةَ.lordship.
And likewise, Abu Al-Bakhtari said: As for them, they did not pray for them; if they ordered them to worship them beside Allah, they would not obey them. But they ordered them, and they made permissible what Allah had forbidden, and forbidden what Allah had permitted. So they obeyed them, and that was their lordship.
وَقَالَAnd he saidالرَّبِيعُAl-Rabiبْنِbinأَنَسٍ:Anas:قُلْتُI saidلِأَبِيto Abuالْعَالِيَةِ:Al-'Aliyyah:كَيْفَHowكَانَتْwasتِلْكَthatالرُّبُوبِيَّةَlordshipفِيinبَنِيthe sons ofإِسْرَائِيلَ؟Israel?قَالَ:He said:كَانَتْIt wasالرُّبُوبِيَّةَthe lordshipأَنَّهُمْthat theyوَجَدُواfoundفِيinكِتَابِthe Bookاللَّهِof Allahمَاwhatأُمِرُواthey were commandedبِهِwith.وَنُهُواand were prohibitedعَنْهُ،from it,فَقَالُوا:they said,لَنْwe will notنَسْبِقَprecedeأَحْبَارَنَاour scholarsبِشَيْءٍ،with anything,فَمَاso whateverأَمَرُونَاthey commanded usبِهِwith itائْتَمَرْنَا،we have obeyed,وَمَاand whatنَهَوْنَاthey forbade usعَنْهُfrom itانْتَهَيْنَاwe stopped.لِقَوْلِهِمْ،To follow their words,فَاسْتَنْصَحُواso they sought counsel fromالرِّجَالِmenوَنَبَذُواand cast awayكِتَابَthe Bookاللَّهِof Allahوَرَاءَbehindظُهُورِهِم،them.فَقَدْThey haveبَيَّنَmade clearالنَّبِيُّthe Prophetﷺ: ﷺأَنَّthatعِبَادَتَهُمْtheir worshipإِيَّاهُمْof themكَانَتْwasفِيinتَحْلِيلِthe permissibilityالْحَرَامِof the forbiddenوَتَحْرِيمِand the prohibitionالْحَلَالِ،of the permissible.لَاNotأَنَّهُمْthat theyصَلَّوْاprayedلَهُمْ،for them,وَصَامُواand fasted for themوَدَعَوْهُمْand invoked themمِنْbesidesدُونِAllah،فَهَذِهِso thisعِبَادَةٌis worshipلِلرِّجَالِ،to men,وَتِلْكَand that.عِبَادَةٌis worship.
And Al-Rabi bin Anas said: I said to Abu Al-Aliyyah: How was that lordship in the children of Israel? He said: The lordship was that they found in the Book of Allah what they were commanded and what they were prohibited from. They said: We will not precede our scholars with anything; whatever they commanded us, we obeyed, and whatever they forbade us, we stopped following their words. They sought counsel from men and cast away the Book of Allah behind their backs. The Prophet ﷺ made clear that their worship of them was in the permissibility of the forbidden and in the prohibition of the permissible. They did not pray for them, nor fasted for them, nor invoked them besides Allah. So this is worship to men, and that is worship.

That is the authentic hadith reported from the hadith of Ibn Abbas, Aisha, and her father. [See the authentic small Al-Jami, and it is strange that Sheikh Al-Albani presents Ibn Abbas and Aisha over our master Abu Bakr As-Siddiq?!.
