فَأَخْبَرَSo informedيُوسُفُYusufبِالتَّأْوِيلِof the interpretation
So Yusuf informed him of the interpretation
وَدَلَّand guidedعَلَىtoالتَّدْبِيرِthe plan.
and guided him to the plan.
قَالَ:He said:تَزْرَعُونَYou shall plantسَبْعَsevenسِنِينَ،years,
He said: 'You shall plant for seven years,
وَاتْرُكُواand leaveمَاwhatحَصَدْتُمْyou have harvestedفِيinسُنْبُلِهِits ear,
and leave what you have harvested in its ear,
إِلَّاexceptقَلِيلًاa little
except a little
مِمَّاof whatتَأْكُلُونَ.you eat.
of what you eat.
وَيَكُونُAnd there will beبَعْدَafterذَلِكَthatقَحْطٌa famineعَامٌّgeneral,
And there will be after that a general famine
تَأْكُلُونَyou will eatفِيهِin itمَاwhatخَزَنْتُمْyou have stored,
in which you will eat what you have stored,
إِلَّاexceptقَلِيلًا.a little.
except a little.
وَيَطُولُAnd it will lastهَذَاthisالْقَحْطُfamineإِلَىforسَبْعِsevenسِنِينَ.years.
And this famine will last for seven years.
وَبَعْدَAnd afterذَلِكَthatيَأْتِيwill comeالنَّصْرُrelief
And after that, relief will come
وَيُخْصِبُand will be fertileالنَّاسُ.the people.
and the people will be fertile.
وَذَهَبَAnd wentالسَّاقِيthe cupbearerوَأَخْبَرَand informedالْمَلِكَthe kingبِتَأْوِيلِof the interpretationرُؤْيَاهُ.of his vision.
And the cupbearer went and informed the king of the interpretation of his vision.
وَلَمَّاAnd whenسَمِعَheardالْمَلِكُthe kingهَذَاthisالتَّأْوِيلَinterpretationوَالتَّدْبِيرَ،and plan,
And when the king heard this interpretation and plan,
فَرِحَhe rejoicedجِدًّا،greatly,وَقَالَ:and said:مَنْWhoصَاحِبُis the ownerهَذَاof thisالتَّأْوِيلِ؟interpretation?
he rejoiced greatly, and said: 'Who is the owner of this interpretation?'
وَقَالَAnd saidالْمَلِكُ:the king:مَنْWhoهَذَاis thisالرَّجُلُmanالْكَرِيمُnoble
And the king said: 'Who is this noble man
الَّذِيwhoنَصَحَadvisedلَنَاusوَدَلَّand guidedعَلَىtoالتَّدْبِيرِ؟the plan?'
who advised us and guided us to the plan?'
قَالَSaidالسَّاقِي:the cupbearer:هَذَاThisيُوسُفُis Yusufالصِّدِّيقُ،the truthful one,
The cupbearer said: 'This is Yusuf the truthful one,
وَهُوَand heالَّذِيwhoأَخْبَرَinformedأَنِّيthat Iسَأَكُونُwill beسَاقِيًاa cupbearerلِسَيِّدِيto my masterالْمَلِكِ.the king.'
and he is the one who informed that I would be a cupbearer to my master the king.'
وَاشْتَاقَAnd longedالْمَلِكُthe kingإِلَىforلِقَاءِmeetingيُوسُفَYusuf
And the king longed to meet Yusuf
وَأَرْسَلَand sentإِلَىtoيُوسُفَ.Yusuf.
and sent for Yusuf.
قَالَSaidالْمَلِكُ:the king:اِئْتُونِيBringبِهِhimأَسْتَخْلِصْهُthat I may choose himلِنَفْسِي.for myself.
The king said: 'Bring him to me, that I may choose him for myself.'
وَلَمَّاAnd whenجَاءَcameالرَّسُولُthe messengerإِلَىtoيُوسُفَYusuf
And when the messenger came to Yusuf
وَقَالَand saidلَهُ:to him:إِنَّIndeedالْمَلِكَthe kingيَدْعُوكَ!is calling you!مَاWhat
and said to him: 'Indeed, the king is calling you!' What
