وَيَسْقِينِand He gives me drink.
and gives me drink.
وَإِذَاAnd whenمَرِضْتُI fall illفَهُوَthen Heيَشْفِينِheals me.
And when I am ill, He heals me.
وَالَّذِيAnd the One Whoيُمِيتُنِيcauses me to dieثُمَّthenيُحْيِينِgives me life.
And Who causes me to die, then gives me life.

وَإِنَّAnd indeedالْأَصْنَامَthe idolsلَاdo notتَخْلُقُcreateوَلَاand do notتَهْدِي،guide,
And indeed, idols do not create and do not guide,
وَإِنَّهَاand indeed theyلَاdo notتُطْعِمُfeedأَحَدًاanyoneوَلَاand do notتَسْقِي.give drink.
and they do not feed anyone and do not give drink.
وَإِذَاAnd ifمَرِضَbecomes illأَحَدٌanyoneفَهِيَthen theyلَاdo notتَشْفِي،heal,
And if anyone becomes ill, they do not heal,
وَإِنَّهَاand indeed theyلَاdo notتُمِيتُcause to dieأَحَدًاanyoneوَلَاand do notتُحْيِي.give life.
and they do not cause anyone to die and do not give life.

10 - Before the King
كَانَThere wasفِيinالْمَدِينَةِthe cityمَلِكٌa kingكَبِيرٌgreatجِدًّا،very,وَظَالِمٌand oppressiveجِدًّا.very.
There was in the city a very great king, and very oppressive.
وَكَانَAnd used to beالنَّاسُthe peopleيَسْجُدُونَprostratingلِلْمَلِكِ.to the king.
And the people used to prostrate to the king.
وَسَمِعَAnd heardالْمَلِكُthe kingأَنَّthatإِبْرَاهِيمَIbrahimيَسْجُدُprostratesلِلَّهِto Allahوَلَاand does notيَسْجُدُprostrateلِأَحَدٍ.to anyone.
And the king heard that Ibrahim prostrates to Allah and does not prostrate to anyone.
فَغَضِبَSo became angryالْمَلِكُthe kingوَطَلَبَand summonedإِبْرَاهِيمَIbrahimوَجَاءَand cameإِبْرَاهِيمُIbrahim.
So the king became angry and summoned Ibrahim, and Ibrahim came.
وَكَانَAnd wasإِبْرَاهِيمُIbrahimلَاnotيَخَافُfearingأَحَدًاanyoneإِلَّاexceptاللَّهَ.Allah.
And Ibrahim did not fear anyone except Allah.
قَالَSaidالْمَلِكُ:the king:مَنْWhoرَبُّكَis your LordيَاOإِبْرَاهِيمُ؟Ibrahim?
The king said: "Who is your Lord, O Ibrahim?"
قَالَSaidإِبْرَاهِيمُ:Ibrahim:رَبِّيَMy Lordاللَّهُ.is Allah.
Ibrahim said: "My Lord is Allah."
قَالَSaidالْمَلِكُ:the king:مَنِWho isاللَّهُAllahيَاOإِبْرَاهِيمُ؟Ibrahim?
The king said: "Who is Allah, O Ibrahim?"
قَالَSaidإِبْرَاهِيمُ:Ibrahim:الَّذِيThe One Whoيُحْيِيgives lifeوَيُمِيتُ.and causes death.
Ibrahim said: "The One Who gives life and causes death."

قَالَSaidالْمَلِكُ:the king:أَنَاIأُحْيِيgive lifeوَأُمِيتُ.and cause death.
The king said: "I give life and cause death."

وَدَعَاAnd summonedالْمَلِكُthe kingرَجُلًاa manوَقَتَلَهُand killed him,
And the king summoned a man and killed him,
وَدَعَاand summonedرَجُلًاa manآخَرَanotherوَتَرَكَهُ.and left him.
and he summoned another man and left him.
