of the rulingالْوَارِدِ
containedفِيهَا.
in it.rather, it suffices that the fundamental ruling contained in it applies.
وَتَارَةً
And sometimesيَكُونُ
it happens thatقَدْ
hasأَوْرَدَ
mentionedبَعْضُ
someالصَّحَابَةِ
of the companions- رَضِيَ
- may Allah be pleasedاللَّهُ
Allahعَنْهُمْ -
with them -فِي
inحَضْرَتِهِ
his presence- صَلَّى
- may Allah blessاللَّهُ
Allahعَلَيْهِ
upon himوَسَلَّمَ -
and grant him peace -سُؤَالاً.
a question.And sometimes some of the Companions - may Allah be pleased with them - mentioned a question in his presence - may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
أَوْ
Orيَقَعُ
occursحَادِثٌ
an incidentفِي
inعَهْدِ
the eraالنَّبِيِّ
of the Prophet- صَلَّى
- may Allah blessاللَّهُ
Allahعَلَيْهِ
upon himوَسَلَّمَ -
and grant him peace -Or an incident occurs during the era of the Prophet - may Allah bless him and grant him peace -
وَيَكُونُ
and he isهُوَ
he- صَلَّى
- may Allah blessاللَّهُ
Allahعَلَيْهِ
upon himوَسَلَّمَ -
and grant him peace -قَدِ
havingاسْتَنْبَطَ
derivedحُكْمَهُ
its rulingمِنْ
fromآيَةٍ
a verseمِنَ
ofالْآيَاتِ
the versesand he - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - had deduced its ruling from a verse among the verses
وَتَلَاهَا
and recited itعَلَيْهِمْ
to themفِي
inذَلِكَ
thatالْبَابِ،
matter,and recited it to them regarding that matter,
فَيَحُكُونَ
so they relateهَذَا
thisالْحَادِثَ
incidentوَيَقُولُونَ
and say"نَزَلَتِ
"Was revealedالْآيَةُ
the verseفِي
concerningكَذَا"
such and such"so they relate this incident and say, "The verse was revealed concerning such and such."
وَتَارَةً
And sometimesيَقُولُونَ
they sayعِنْدَ
atذَلِكَ
that"فَأَنْزَلَ
"So revealedاللَّهُ
Allah- تَعَالَى -
- Most High -قَوْلَ
the statementكَذَا"
of such and such"And sometimes they say upon that, "So Allah - the Most High - revealed the statement of such and such"
أَوْ
or"فَنَزَلَتْ
"was revealedكَذَا".
such and such."or "such and such was revealed."
وَإِذَا
And ifعَبَّرَ
someone expressesأَحَدٌ
anyoneعَنْ
aboutذَلِكَ
thatبِتَكْرَارِ
by the repetition ofنُزُولِ
the revelation ofالْآيَةِ
the verseفَلَهُ
then for himكَذَلِكَ
likewiseمَسَاغٌ.
justification.And if anyone expresses that by the repetition of the revelation of the verse, there is likewise justification for him.

many thingsكَثِيرَةً
numerousضِمْنَ
withinالْآيَاتِ
the Quranic versesالْقُرْآنِيَّةِ
Quranicلَا
that have noعَلَاقَةَ
relationلَهَا
to themبِأَسْبَابِ
with the occasions ofالنُّزُولِ
revelationمِثْلُ:
such as:And the hadith scholars mention in this chapter many things within the Quranic verses that have no relation to the occasions of revelation, such as:
The citing as evidence by the Companions - may Allah be pleased with them - of a verse from the Quranic verses in their debates.
Or their quoting of a verse by way of analogy,
or the recitation by the Prophet - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - of a verse from the verses to cite as evidence for his speech,
or the narration of a hadith that agrees with the verse in the origin of its purpose and its meaning, or in determining the place of its revelation,
or the specifying of the names of those mentioned in it in an ambiguous manner,
or the explanation of the way of pronouncing a Quranic word,
or concerning the virtue of the verses and the surahs,
or the explanation of the method of compliance by the Prophet - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - with a command from the commands of the Noble Quran.
