وَإِذَاAnd when
قِيلَit is said
لَهُمُto them
اتَّقُواFear

أَيْدِيكُمْyour hands
{And when it is said to them, Fear what is before you}
وَمَاand what
خَلْفَكُمْis behind you
لَعَلَّكُمْso that you may
تُرْحَمُونَreceive mercy
٤٥(45)
{and what is behind you that you may receive mercy (45)}
وَمَاAnd not
تَأْتِيهِمْcomes to them
مِنْfrom
آيَةٍa sign
مِنْfrom
آيَاتِthe signs of
رَبِّهِمْtheir Lord
{And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord}
إِلَّاexcept
كَانُواthey were
عَنْهَاfrom it
{except that they were from it...}
