On Saturday, Mr. Jones went to Wheelingdon.
وَهُنَاكَAnd thereثَمَلَgot drunkفِيinحَانَةthe tavernالْأَسَدthe Red LionالْأَحْمَرRedوَلَمْand did notيَعُدْreturnإِلَىtoبَيْتِهِhis houseفِيinالْمَزْرَعَةthe farmإِلَّاuntilيَوْمَthe dayغَدٍtomorrowالأَحَدSunday
And there, he got drunk in the Red Lion tavern, and did not return to his house on the farm until the next day, Sunday.
فِيInنِهَايَةthe endالصَّبَاحthe morningكَانَit wasفِيinالْمَزْرَعَةthe farmقَدْhadحَلَبُواmilkedالْأَبْقَارthe cowsفِيinالصَّبَاحthe morningالْبَاكِرearly
In the end of the morning at the farm, they had milked the cows early in the morning.
ثُمَّThenذَهَبُواthey wentلِصَيْدto huntالْأَرَانِبthe rabbitsدُونَwithoutأَنْtoيُطْعِمُواfeedالْحَيَوَانَاتthe animals
Then they went to hunt the rabbits without feeding the animals.
وَعِنْدَAnd uponعَوْدَتِهِhis returnاسْتَرْخَىMr. Jones relaxedالسَّيِّدMr.جُونزJonesفَوْقَaboveالْمَقْعَدthe seatوَمَائِدَةand tableالأَكْلthe foodفَنَامَand fell asleepوَعَلَىand onعُمَّالِهِhis workers
And upon his return, Mr. Jones relaxed above the seat and the table of food and fell asleep on his workers.
وَجْهُهُHis faceجَرِيدَةnewspaperيَوْمِيَّةdailyتَنشُرpublishesالأَخْبَارthe newsالْمُثِيرَةexcitingحَلَّتcame downاللَّيْلthe nightوَالْحَيَوَانَاتand the animalsلَمْhad notتَطْعَمbeen fed
His face was covered by a daily newspaper that publishes exciting news; the night came down and the animals had not been fed.
وَفِيAnd inالأَخِيرthe endلَمْcould notتَسْتَطِعstandالصُّمُودresistلِوَقْتfor longطَوِيلtimeفَغَرَزَتSo oneأَحَدof theالْبَقَرَاتcowsقَرْنَيْهَاstuck its hornsفِيinبَابthe doorالْمَسْتَوْدَعof the barn
In the end, the animals could not resist for long, so one of the cows stuck its horns in the door of the barn.
تِلْكَThenفَبَدَأَتbeganكُلّallالْحَيَوَانَاتthe animalsتَكْسِيرto breakصُنَادِيقboxesوَعُلَبand cansالْقُمَامَةthe garbage
Then all the animals began to break boxes and cans from the garbage.
فِيAtاللَّحْظَةthe momentاسْتَيْقَظَMr. woke upالسَّيِّدJonesجُونزJonesفِيinاللَّحْظَةthe momentالَّتِيwhichتَلَتْfollowedأَسْرَعَhe rushedرُفْقَةwithعُمَّالهhis workersالأَرْبَعَةthe four
At that moment, Mr. Jones woke up and rushed with his four workers.
كُلّEveryoneواحِدeachيَحْمِلholdingسَوْطاًa whipفِيInيَدِهِhis hand
Everyone was holding a whip in their hands.
وَفُورًاAnd instantlyاِنْهَالَتrained downالضَّرَبَاتthe blowsمِنfromكُلّeveryاتِّجَاهdirection
And instantly, the blows rained down from every direction.
وَكَانَتAnd it wasذَلِكَthatيَفُوقexceededتَحَمُّلthe enduranceالْحَيَوَانَاتof the animalsالْجَائِعَةthe hungry
And it was that it exceeded the endurance of the hungry animals.
وَبِاتِّفَاقAnd by agreementجَمَاعِيًّاcollectivelyوَمِنand withoutدُونَpreviousتَخْطِيطplanningمُسَبَّقforethoughtاِنْقَضَّتthe animals pouncedالْحَيَوَانَاتthe animalsالْجَائِعَةthe hungry
And by agreement, collectively and without previous planning, the hungry animals pounced on their tormentors.
وَهَا هُمْAnd here they areالرِّجَالthe menالْخَمْسَةthe fiveيَتَعَرَّضُونَare exposedلِلرَّفَسto kicksوَلِلنَّطْحand to head buttsمُتَحَوِّلِينَturning intoضَحَايَاvictims
And here they are, the five men being exposed to kicks and head butts, turning into victims.
وَهَذَاAnd thisوَضْعِيَّةsituationغَيْرnotمُقَبُولَةacceptableلِأَنَّهُمْbecause theyطُولَةthroughoutحَيَاتِهِمtheir livesلَمْhad notيَرَوْاseenأَسْيَادَهُمْtheir mastersالْحَيَوَانَاتthe animalsتَتَصَرَّفactingبِهَذِهِthis wayالْغَرِيبَةstrange
And this situation is not acceptable because they had never seen their masters, the animals, acting this way.
فَمَنSo whoاعْتَادُواwere usedالإِسَاءَةto abuseإِلَيْهِمto themوَالْتَّنَافُسand competingعَلَىonضَرْبِهِمto hit themهَا هُمْthey are nowيَخَافُونَafraidمِنْهُمْof them
So who were used to abuse them and competing to hit them, now they are afraid of them.
أَمَامَBeforeالثَّوْرَةthe revolutionفَقَدَlostالرِّجَالthe menصَوَابَهُمْtheir sensesفَاسْتَسْلَمُواand surrenderedفِيinالْمَعْرَكَةthe battleوَوَلُّواand fledالأَدْبَارin defeatوَسَطَin the middleالْهَزِيمَةthe defeatهَرَبُواthey fledعَبْرَthroughالدَّرْبthe pathالْمُؤَدِّيleadingإِلَىtoالطَّرِيقthe roadوَالْحَيَوَانَاتand the animalsالْمُنْتَصِرَةvictoriousتُطَارِدُهُمwere chasing them
Before the revolution, the men lost their senses and surrendered in battle, and fled in defeat through the road leading to it while the victorious animals were chasing them.
