الدَّالَةُthe indicationعَلَىonالإِحَاطَةُthe encompassing
The indication of encompassing.
قَوْلُهُHis saying::﴿(وَهُوَAnd He isبِكُلِّwith allشَيْءٍthingعَلِيمٌAll-Knowing﴾)::هَذَاThisإِكْمَالٌis completionلِمَاof whatسَبَقَhas precededمِنْofالصِّفَاتِthe attributesالأَرْبَعِthe four
His saying: 'And He is All-Knowing of all things': This is a completion of what has preceded from the four attributes.
يَعْنِيThat means::وَمَعَAnd withذَلِكَthat؛;فَهُوَHe isبِكُلِّwith allشَيْءٍthingعَلِيمٌAll-Knowing
That means: And with that; He is All-Knowing of all things.
وَهَذِهِAnd thisمِنْofصِيَغِthe formsالْعُمُومِof generalityالَّتِيthatلَمْhas notيَدْخُلْهَاentered itتَخْصِيصٌspecificationأَبَدًاever؛;وَهَذَاAnd thisالْعُمُومُgeneralityيَشْمَلُencompassesأَفْعَالَهُHis actionsوَأَفْعَالَand actionsالْعِبَادِof the servantsالْكُلِّيَّاتِthe generalوَالْجُزْئِيَّاتِand the particular aspects؛;يَعْلَمُHe knowsمَاwhatيَقَعُhappensوَمَاand whatسَيَقَعُwill happen,,وَيَشْمَلُand includesالْوَاجِبَthe obligatoryوَالْمُمكِنَand what can existوَالْمُسْتَحِيلَand the impossible؛;فَعِلْمُThus, the knowledgeاللَّهِof Allahتَعَالَىthe Exaltedوَاسِعٌis vastشَامِلٌcomprehensiveمُحَاطٌencompassing,,لَاnotيُسْتَثْنَىexcludedمِنْهُfrom itشَيْءٌanything؛;
And this generality encompasses His actions and the actions of His servants, the general and specific aspects; He knows what happens and what will happen, and includes the obligatory, the possible, and the impossible; thus, the knowledge of Allah the Exalted is vast, comprehensive, encompassing, and nothing is excluded from it.
فَأَمَّاAs forعِلْمُهُHis knowledgeبِالْوَاجِبِof the obligatory؛;فَكَعِلْمِهِit is like His knowledgeبِنَفْسِهِof Himselfوَبِمَاand of whatلَهُis hisمِنْofالصِّفَاتِthe attributesالْكاملةِthe complete,,وَأَمَّاAnd as forعِلْمُهُHis knowledgeبِالْمُسْتَحِيلِof the impossible؛;فَمَثَلُit is likeقَوْلُهُHis sayingتَعَالَىthe Exalted::﴿(لَوْIfكَانَthere wereفِيهِمَاin bothوَالِهَةٌgodsإِلَّاexceptاللَّهُAllahلَفَسَدَنَاthey would surely have faltered﴾),,وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying::﴿(إِنَّIndeedالَّذِينَthose whoتَدْعُونَyou call uponمِنَfromدُونِbesidesاللَّهِAllahلَنْsurely notيَخْلُقُواcreateذُبَابًاa flyوَلَوِand even ifاجْتَمَعُواthey all gathered؛;وَأَمَّاAnd as forعِلْمُهُknowledgeبِالْمُمْكِنِof the possible؛;فَكُلُّeveryمَاwhatأَخْبَرَHe has informedاللَّهُAllahبِهِof itعَنْaboutالْمَخْلُوقَاتِthe created beings؛;فَهُوَit isمِنَofالمُمْكِنِthe possible::﴿(يَعْلَمُHe knowsمَاwhatتُسِرُّونَyou concealوَمَاand whatتُعْلِنُونَyou reveal))﴾﴾
As for His knowledge of the obligatory; it is like His knowledge of Himself and what belongs to Him from the complete attributes. And as for His knowledge of the impossible, it is like His saying: 'If there were gods in them except Allah, they would surely have faltered,' and His saying: 'Indeed, those whom you call upon besides Allah cannot create a fly even if they all gathered together.' And as for His knowledge of the possible; every what Allah has informed about the created beings is from the possible: 'He knows what you conceal and what you reveal.'
إِذاًThen؛;فَعِلْمُthen knowledgeاللَّهِof Allahتَعَالَىthe Exaltedمُحِيطٌis encompassingبِكُلِّwith allشَيْءٍthing..
Then the knowledge of Allah the Exalted encompasses all things.
وَالْثَّمَرَةُAnd the fruitالَّتِيthatيَنْتِجُهَاresults from itالإِيمَانُthe faithبِأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahبِكُلِّwith allشَيْءٍthingعَلِيمٌis All-Knowing؛;كَمَالٌis the perfectionمُرَاقَبَةٌof watchfulnessاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّMost High and Exalted;وَخَشْيَتُهُand His fear
And the fruit that results from the faith that Allah is All-Knowing is the perfection of being watchful over Allah the Exalted and His fear;
بِحَيْثِin such a way thatلَاnotيَفْقِدُهُhe loses itحَيْثُwhereأَمْرُهُHe has commanded him,,وَلَاand he does notيَرَاهُsee himحَيْثُwhereنَهَاهُHe has forbidden him
in such a way that he does not lose Him where He has commanded him, and does not see Him where He has forbidden him.
قَوْلُThe sayingالْمُؤَلِّفِof the author؛;«"وَقَوْلُهُand his sayingسُبْحَانَهُGlory be to Him::﴿(وَتَوَكَّلْAnd put your trustعَلَىonالْحَيِّthe LivingالَّذِيWhoلَاnotيَمُوتُdie))))
The saying of the author; "And put your trust in the Living Who does not die."
