وَفِيAnd inمَناقبِthe meritsعُمَرَof Umarلِابْنِby IbnأَبِيAbuالدُّنْيَاAl-Dunyaأَنَّthatالْأَرْضَthe earthزَلْزَلَتْtrembledعَلَىduringعَهْدِthe eraعُمَرَof Umar
And in the merits of Umar by Ibn Abu Dunya, it is mentioned that the earth trembled during the era of Umar.
فَضَرَبَSo he struckيَدَهُhis handعَلَيْهَاon itوَقَالَand said
So he struck his hand on it and said.
مَالِكِ؟What is wrong with you?مَالِكِ؟What is wrong with you?أَمَاButإِنَّهَاif it isلَوْifكَانَتْit wereالْقِيَامَةُthe Day of Resurrectionحَدَثَتْits newsأَخْبَارُهَاwould have been heard.سَمِعْتُI heardرَسُولَthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahﷺ(peace be upon him)
What is wrong with you? What is wrong with you? But if it were the Day of Resurrection, its news would have been heard. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say.
إِذَاWhenكَانَit isيَوْمَthe Dayالْقِيَامَةِof Resurrectionفَلَيْسَthere is noفِيهَاin itذِرَاعٌforearmوَلَاnorشِبْرٌhandspanإِلَّاexceptوَهُوَit willيَنْطِقُspeak.
When it is the Day of Resurrection, there is not a forearm's length or a handspan in it except that it will speak.
وَذَكَرَAnd Ahmad mentionedالإِمَامَthe ImamأَحْمَدَAhmadعَنْaboutصَفِيَّةَSafiyaقَالَتْshe said:زَلْزَلَتْThe city trembledالْمَدِينَةُthe cityعَلَىduringعَهْدِthe eraعُمَرَof Umar
And Imam Ahmad narrated from Safiya, she said: 'The city trembled during the era of Umar.'
فَقَالَHe said:يَاOأَيُّهَاpeople,النَّاسُpeopleمَاWhat isهَذَا؟this?مَاWhatأَسْرَعَhas occurred so fast,مَاwhatأَحْدَثْتُمْ،you have done.لَئِنْIfعَادَتْit returns,لَاI will notأُسَاكِنُكُمْdwell with youفِيها.in it.
He said: 'O people, what is this? What has occurred so fast? If it returns, I will not dwell with you in it.'
وَقَالَAnd Ka'b said,إِنَّمَاIndeed,تُزَلْزَلُthe earth is shakenالأَرْضُthe earthإِذَاwhenعُمِلَتْsins are committedفِيهاin itبِالْمَعَاصِي،by sins.فَتُرْعَدُAnd it tremblesفَرَقًاin fearمِنَofالرَّبِّthe LordجَلَّGlory beجَلاَلَهُto his MajestyأَنَّthatيَطَّلِعَHe may seeعَلَيْهَا.upon it.
And Ka'b said: 'Indeed, the earth is shaken when sins are committed in it, and it trembles in fear of the Lord, Glory be to His Majesty, that He may see upon it.'
وَكَتَبَAnd Umar ibn Abdulaziz wroteعُمَرُUmarبْنِibnعَبْدِالعَزِيزِAbdulazizإِلَىtoالْأَمْصَارِ:the cities:أَمَّاAs forبَعْدَafterفَإِنَّthisهَذَاthisالرَّجْفَtremorشَيْءٌis somethingيُعَاتِبُto admonishاللَّهَAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Mighty and Majesticبِهِwith itالْعِبَادَ.the servants.
And Umar ibn Abdulaziz wrote to the cities: 'As for after, indeed this tremor is something that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, admonishes His servants with.'
وَقَدْAnd I haveكَبَتُwrittenإِلَىtoالْأَمْصَارِthe citiesأَنَّthat
And I have written to the cities that.
نَقَلَهُIt was narratedالسُّيُوطِيُّby Al-Suyutiأَيْضًاalsoفِيinكَشْفِthe revealing ofالصَّلْصَلَةِthe soundمِنْfromكِتَابِthe bookمَناقِبِthe meritsعُمَرَof Umarلِابْنِby IbnأَبِيAbuالدُّنْيَاAl-Dunya
It was also narrated by Al-Suyuti in the revealing of the sound from the book of the merits of Umar by Ibn Abu Dunya.
وَأَخْرَجَهُAnd it was narratedابْنُby IbnأَبِيAbuالدُّنْيَاDunyaفِيinالْعُقُوبَاتِthe punishments
And it was narrated by Ibn Abu Dunya in the punishments.
وَسَنَدُهُAnd its chain of narrationضَعِيفٌجِدًّا.is very weak.فِيIn it,سَعْدٌthere is Sa'dبْنِibnطَارِقٍTariqالْإِسْكَاف،Al-Iskaf,مَتْرُوكٌabandonedالْحَدِيثُ.the Hadith.
And its chain of narration is very weak. In it, there is Sa'd ibn Tariq, Al-Iskaf, who is considered abandoned in narration.
ف:it is said:«تَزَلْزَلَتْ».'trembled'.
It is said: 'trembled'.
ف:It is said:«فَقَالَ».'He said.'
It is said: 'He said.'
لَمْI did notأَقِفْfindعَلَيْهitعِندَwithأَحْمَدَAhmadوَالْأَثْرُand the narrationأَخْرَجَهُwas narratedنَعِيمٌby NaimبْنِibnحَمَّادٍHammadفِيinالْفِتَنِthe tribulations
I did not find it with Ahmad, and the narration was narrated by Naim ibn Hammad in the tribulations.
وَابْنُAnd IbnأَبِيAbuشَيْبَةَSheiba۲۲٢/٢22:2.(۸۳۳۵)(8335)وَابْنُand IbnأَبِيAbuالدُّنْيَاDunyaفِيinالْعُقُوبَاتِthe punishments
And Ibn Abu Sheiba 22:2 (8335) and Ibn Abu Dunya in the punishments.
وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّAnd Al-Bayhaqiفِيinالْكُبْرَىthe major(۳۴۲/۳)(342:3)وَغَيْرُهُمْ.and others.
And Al-Bayhaqi in the major (342:3) and others.
وَسَنَدُهُAnd its chain of narrationصَحِيحٌ.is authentic.
And its chain of narration is authentic.
ف:It is said:«تَزَلْزَلَتْ».'trembled'.
It is said: 'trembled'.
فَ،It is said,ز:and Z:«تَزَلْزَلَتْ».'trembled'.
It is said, and Z: 'trembled'.

فَإِنَّAnd it is saidالْرَّجَفَ»the tremorل:is not«فَهَذَاthis
And it is said that the tremor is not 'this.'
