وَبِالتَّسْوِيفِAnd by procrastinationبِالتَّوْبَةِwith repentanceتَارَةًsometimesوَبِالِاحْتِجَاجِand by arguingبِالْقَدَرِwith destinyتَارَةًsometimes
And sometimes by procrastination with repentance, and sometimes by arguing with destiny.
ثُمَّThenفَصَّلَhe detailedصُورَthe formsالِاغْتِرَارِof delusionوَحَكَىand he narratedأَقْوَالَthe sayingsالمُغْتَرِّينَof the deluded، وَبَيَّنَ, and he clarifiedالْفَرْقَthe differenceبَيْنَbetweenحَسَنِgoodالظَّنِّthoughtبِاللَّهِabout Godوَالِاغْتِرَارِand delusionبِهِin Him، مُشِيرًا, indicatingإِلَىtoخَوْفِthe fearالْصَّحَابَةِof the companionsعَلَىforأَنْفُسِهِمthemselvesمِنَfromالنِّفَاقِhypocrisy، وَهُمْ, and theyمَنْareهُمْwhoفِيinتَقْوَىpietyاللَّهِGodوَعِبَادَتِهِand worshiping HimوَفِيAnd duringخِلَالَthisذَٰلِكَtimeأَوْرَدَhe providedأَحَادِيثَhadithsوَآثَارًاand narrationsوَأَقْوَالًاand sayingsلِرَدْعِto deterالْجُهَّالِthe ignorantالْعُصَاةِsinnersالمُغْتَرِّينَwho are deludedبِاللَّهِby God. وَهُوَ. And it isفَصْلٌa chapterطَوِيلٌlongنَفِيسٌvaluable
Then he detailed the forms of delusion and narrated the sayings of the deluded, clarifying the difference between good thoughts about God and delusion in Him, indicating the fear of the companions for themselves from hypocrisy, and they are who are in God's piety and worship. And during this time, he provided hadiths, narrations, and sayings to deter the ignorant sinners who are deluded by God. And it is a long valuable chapter.
ثُمَّThenقَالَhe said::فَلْنَرْجِعْLet us returnإِلَىtoمَاwhatكُنَّاwe wereفِيهِin itمِنَfromذِكْرِmentioningدَوَاءٍthe remedyالْدَّاءfor the diseaseالَّذِيthat whichإِنْifاسْتَمَرَّit continuesأَفْسَدَit spoilsدُنْيَاthe worldالْعَبْدِof the servantوَآخِرَتَهُand his hereafter.
Then he said: Let us return to what we were mentioning about the remedy for the disease that, if it continues, spoils the world of the servant and his hereafter.
الْعُقُوبَاتُThe punishmentsالْقَدَرِيَّةُpredestinedلِلْأَخْطَاءِfor sins(٩٨ - ٢٥٨)
Predestined punishments for sins (98 - 258).
قَرَّرَHe establishedأَوَّلًاfirstأَنْthatكُلَّallشَرٍّevilوَدَاءٍand diseaseفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldوَالْآخِرَةِand the hereafterسَبَبُهُis caused byالذُّنُوبِsinsوَالمَعَاصِيِand disobedience.
He first established that all evil and disease in the world and the hereafter is caused by sins and disobedience.
وَأَشَارَAnd he pointedإِلَىtoأَنَّthatالمَعْصِيَةَthe disobedienceهِيَis whatأَخْرَجَتْexpelledالأَبَوَيْنِthe two parentsمِنَfromالْجَنَّةِParadise، كَمَا, asأَخْرَجَتْit expelledإِبْلِيسَIblisمِنَfromمَلَكُوتِthe dominionالسَّمَاءِof the heavens, وَذَكَرَ, and he mentionedالأُمَمَthe nationsالَّتِيthatاسْتَحَقَّتْdeservedعَذَابَpunishmentاللَّهِof Godبِسَبَبِbecause ofمَعَاصِيِهَاits disobedienceفِيinعُصُورٍerasمُخْتَلِفَةٍdifferent.
And he pointed out that the disobedience is what expelled the two parents from Paradise, as it expelled Iblis from the dominion of the heavens, and he mentioned the nations that deserved God's punishment because of their disobedience in different eras.
وَأَوْرَدَAnd he providedأَحَادِيثَhadithsوَآثَارًاand narrationsفِيaboutآثَارِthe effectsالمَعَاصِيof sinsوَعَوَاقِبِهَاand their consequences.
And he provided hadiths and narrations about the effects of sins and their consequences.
ثُمَّThenأَفَاضَhe elaboratedالْقَوْلَthe discourseفِيinأَضْرَارِthe harmsالمَعَاصِيof sinsلِلْعَبْدِfor the servantفِيinدِينِهِhis religionوَدُنْيَاهُand his worldوَآخِرَتِهِand his hereafter,وَاسْتَغْرَقَand it tookهَذَاthisالْمَبْحَثَtopicأَكْثَرَmoreمِنْthanمِئَةٍa hundredصَفْحَةٍpagesوَذَكَرَand he mentionedفِيinآخِرِthe lastفصولِهِof its chaptersأَنَّthatالمَعَاصِيsinsمَدَدٌare aidsمِنَfromالاِنْسَانِthe humanيُعِينُwhich assistبِهِwith itعَدُوَّهُhis enemyعَلَىagainstنَفْسِهِhimselfوَجَيْشٌand an armyيُقَوِّيَthat strengthens himبِهِwith itعَلَىagainstحَرْبِهِhis war.، وَبَيَّنَ, and he clarifiedحِيَلَthe tricksالشَّيْطَانِof Satanوَوَصِيَّتَهُand his adviceلِجُنُودِهِto his soldiersبِغَزْوِto invadeقَلْبِthe heartالْإِنْسَانِof the humanوَالدُّخُولِand to enterعَلَيْهِupon himمِنْfromكُلِّeveryمَدْخَلٍentrance,وَالْقُعُودِand to sitلَهُfor himبِكُلِّin everyطَرِيقٍway.
Then he elaborated the discourse on the harms of sins for the servant in his religion, his world, and his hereafter, and this topic took more than a hundred pages, and he mentioned in the last of its chapters that sins are aids from the human that assist his enemy against himself and an army that strengthens him against his war. And he clarified the tricks of Satan and his advice to his soldiers to invade the heart of the human and to enter upon him from every entrance, and to sit for him in every way.
