يَارَبّ،O Lord,لَعَلَّهُperhapsاللَّهُGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Exalted and Mightyأَنْtoيُنَجِّيهِsave him.
O Lord, perhaps God, the Exalted and Mighty, will save him.
وَمِنَAnd fromفَصْلِthe chapter(1)الْآفَاتِthe ailmentsالَّتِيthatتَمْنَعُpreventتَرَتُّبَthe effectأَثَرَof theالدُّعَاءِsupplicationعَلَيْهِ:upon him:أَنْthatيَسْتَعْجِلَthe servant should hurry,الْعَبْدَ،the servant,وَيَسْتَبْطِئَand be impatient forالْإِجَابَةَ،the response,فَيَسْتَحْسِرَ،so he becomes tired,وَيَدَعَand leavesالدُّعَاءَthe supplicationوَهُوَwhile he isبِمَنْزِلَةِlikeمَنْone whoبَذَرَsowedبَذُورًا،the seeds,أَوْorغَرَسَplantedغِرَاسًا،the seedlings,فَجَعَلَand he tendedيَتَعَاهَدهُto itوَيُسْقِيهِ،and watered it,فَلَمَّاbut whenاسْتَبْطَأَhe was impatient withكَمَالِهِits completionوَإِدْرَاكِهِand attaining itتَرَكَة ،he left itوَأَهْمَلَهُ!and neglected it!
And from the chapter (1) the ailments that prevent the effect of supplication upon him: that the servant should hurry, and be impatient for the response, so he becomes tired and leaves the supplication, while he is like one who sowed the seeds or planted the seedlings, and he tended to it and watered it, but when he was impatient with its completion and attaining it, he left it and neglected it!
(۲)وَفِيAnd inصَحِيحِthe authenticالْبُخَارِيِّBukhari(٢)مِنْfromحَدِيثِthe narrationأَبِيof AbuهُرَيْرَةَHurairaأَنْthatرَسُولَthe Messengerاللَّهِ ﷺof God ﷺقَالَsaid(۳):يُسْتَجَابُIt is acceptedلِأَحَدِكُمْfor one of youمَاas long asلَمْhe does notيَعْجَلْ،hurry,يَقُولُ:he says:دَعَوْتُ،I have called,فَلَمbut did notيُسْتَجَبْget answeredلِي.to me.
(2) And in the authentic Bukhari (2) from the narration of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: "It is accepted for one of you as long as he does not hurry, he says: 'I have called, but did not get answered to me.'"}]}{
