أَنَّهُthat itدَمٌis bloodكَذِبٌfalse،,وَأَنَّand thatقِصَّةَthe storyالذِّئْبِof the wolfقِصَّةٌis a storyمَوْضُوعَةٌfabricated.
that it was a false blood, and that the story of the wolf was a fabricated story.
فَقَالَSo he saidلِأَوْلَادِهِto his children::بَلْRatherهَذِهِthisقِصَّةٌis a storyوَضَعْتُمُوهَاyou have fabricated itفَصَبْرٌso patienceجَمِيلٌis fitting.
So he said to his children: 'Rather, this is a story you have fabricated, so patience is most fitting.'
وَحَزِنَAnd grievedيَعْقُوبُJacobعَلَىoverيُوسُفَJosephحُزْناًwith griefشَدِيداًintense،,وَلَكِنَّهُbut heصَبَرَwas patientصَبْراًwith patienceجَمِيلاًbeautiful.
And Jacob grieved intensely over Joseph, but he was patient with beautiful patience.
٦6--يُوسُفُJosephفِيinالْبِئْرِthe well
6 - Joseph in the Well
وَرَجَعَAnd returnedالْإِخْوَةُthe brothersإِلَىtoالْبَيْتِthe houseوَتَرَكُواand leftيُوسُفَJosephفِيinالْبِئْرِthe well
The brothers returned to the house and left Joseph in the well.
وَأَكَلَAnd ateالْإِخْوَةُthe brothersالطَّعَامَthe food،,وَنَامُواand sleptعَلَىonالْفِرَاشِthe beds
And the brothers ate food and slept on the beds.
وَيُوسُفُWhile Josephفِيwas inالْبِئْرِthe well،,وَلَاwith noفِرَاشَbedوَلَاand noطَعَامَfood.
And Joseph was in the well, with no bed and no food.
وَنَسِيَAnd forgotالْإِخْوَانِthe two brothersيُوسُفَJoseph،,وَنَامُواand slept.
And the brothers forgot Joseph, and slept.
وَمَاAnd notنَامَsleptيُوسُفُJoseph،,وَمَاand notنَسِيَdid he forgetأَحَداًanyone.
And Joseph did not sleep, and he did not forget anyone.
وَبَقِيَAnd remainedيَعْقُوبُJacobيَذْكُرُrememberingيُوسُفَJoseph
And Jacob remained remembering Joseph.
وَبَقِيَAnd remainedيُوسُفُJosephيَذْكُرُrememberingيَعْقُوبَJacob.
And Joseph remained remembering Jacob.
وَكَانَتِAnd wasالْبِئْرُthe wellعَمِيقَةًdeepوَكَانَتِand wasالْبِئْرُthe wellفِيinالْغَابَةِthe forest
And the well was deep and the well was in the forest.
وَكَانَتِAnd wasالْغَابَةُthe forest،,مُوحِشَةًdesolate،,وَكَانَand wasذَلِكَthatفِيinاللَّيْلِthe night
And the forest was desolate, and that was at night.
وَكَانَAnd wasاللَّيْلُthe nightمُظْلِماًdark.
And the night was dark.
مِنَFromالْبِئْرِthe wellإِلَىtoالْقَصْرِthe palace
From the Well to the Palace
وَكَانَتْAnd wasجَمَاعَةٌa groupتُسَافِرُtravelingفِيinهَذِهِthisالْغَابَةِforest
And a group was traveling in this forest.
وَعَطِشُواAnd they became thirstyفِيonالطَّرِيقِthe way،,وَبَحَثُواand searchedعَنْforبِئْرٍa well.
And they became thirsty on the way, and searched for a well.
وَرَأَوْاAnd they sawبِئْراًa wellفَأَرْسَلُواso they sentإِلَيْهَاto itرَجُلاًa manلِيَأْتِيَto bringلَهُمْthemبِالْمَاءِwater.
And they saw a well, so they sent a man to it to bring them water.
جَاءَCameالرَّجُلُthe manإِلَىtoالْبِئْرِthe well،,وَأَدْلَىand loweredدَلْوَهُhis bucket
The man came to the well, and lowered his bucket.
وَنَزَعَAnd pulledالدَّلْوَthe bucket،,فَإِذَاand beholdالدَّلْوُthe bucketثَقِيلَةٌwas heavy!
And he pulled the bucket, and behold, the bucket was heavy!
